Car Song Collections????
Car Song Collections????

Thanks!
Thanks!
The coolest Driving tune ever!!!
I strip away the old debris
That hides a shining car:
A brilliant red Barchetta
From a better vanished time.
I fire up the willing engine
Responding with a roar.
Tires spitting gravel,
I commit my weekly crime.
Wind
In my hair
Shifting and drifting
Mechanical music
Adrenaline surge...
Well-weathered leather,
Hot metal and oil,
The scented country air.
Sunlight on chrome,
The blur of the landscape,
Every nerve aware.
Rush Moving Pictures album. The whole album is great....

Re: Red Barchetta ---- RUSH
Iwao
I think the request was for a CD that had a compilation of driving tunes on it like a "Back to the 80s" CD with different 80s songs on it.
I will have to admit that Rush is one of the few bands that could put out an album that one could listen to from beginning to end, which makes it arguably a perfect car tunes compilation, it's just all from the same artist. Very few bands can craft such an album, and often the best bands fail to ever make such an album. Rush is definitely one that achieved that feat. I would have to say some of the Stones' 70s albums would qualify, Beatles, some (SOME) Zeppelin stuff, other Led Zep stuff is way out there as far as "listenability" from a driving perspective, etc...
