As of last Wednesday, 87 octane was $1.129. It went to $1.299 on Thursday, and up to 1.399 yesterday. We never see any of those little price jumps anymore - it always comes in at least ten cent increments.

Lots of things driving prices up - the usual gearing up for the summer driving season, changeover from winter blends to summer blends, the economy is supposedly turning around thus oil consumption will increase, uncertainty about war in the mideast, etc...

None of us likes paying a $1.50 a gallon.
Guys, I know you're gonna think I'm crazy but, the day is gonna come when we'll happily pay twice that amount.

Let's see, that would be $3 a gal.
Yep, the day will come when you would get in line to pay 3 because the real world price will be 4.

Flame suit on

Nice dredge, Raoul. We're spoiled rotten oil-loving mongrels. It's really that simple... We were griping about $1.15 prices 6 years ago; now they're over 100% higher than what they were then.

You know Raoul, you really should look into alternative fuels 'stuff'. With the goat 'output' that you likely have, you may be sitting on a mother lode of alternative fuel!

Just how long exactly have you been sitting on this one Raoul?
I envision this thread open on one window on your screen since 2002.

A flame suit is standard equipment for protection in the event of a methane explosion.
