As Steve has said, let's not let ourselves get dragged down into the mud with them.

Maybe I shouldn't have started this thread, but when I was over there and saw the way they were dissing this site and that one guy bragging about just using this one to store his pictures to use there, well...

Just wanted the good folks here to see that things there haven't changed in all this time.

I will say this. As of last night, the most vocal people about the split have stayed out of that thread. Maybe the older people have figured things out after all the flying fur settled. The disturbing thing is that the newer people have taken up the "cause." Makes one wonder just what goes on over there.

The big difference between the two sites is that we tend to not diss them like they do us. Take for instance how we welcome users here who come from there. When a user here goes there, the tendency is to diss this site. Whenever they talk about how their site is doing, they can't do it without dissing this one. When we talk about how well this one is doing, NOBODY has to diss that one.

Denis,

Yes, why did you bring it up? All you are doing is fanning the flames. I use both sites for different reasons but I never bring the dirty laundry from the other site to this one and vice versa.

Yeah, I started to feel that way, JMC. Total knee jerk reaction on my part. However, so long as we don't let this thing drop to a lower level, things will be fine.

My whole point was that I couldn't believe the people there still felt the same way. Totally leads me to recall how kids behaved in school.

You gotta admit that this site, rarely if ever, starts these things.

BTW, are you doing anything to keep this kind of stuff from happening over there? I should think that if you could tell me what you did, that you'd be over there telling them something similar to defuse it... You'd be doing them AND us a favor if you did.

Ignore them

[i]I have stated that I belong to both sites - I won't deny that. World has 1 thing & just 1 thing we don't have here which I won't get into. If not for that I wouldn't even bother going there - nothing to see that I don't see here 19,000 times over!
I have never been shy about voicing my opinions as everyone knows. I did that there not long ago & have noticed I am being "shunned" by a couple of posters. Oh well! LOL! I have made a few friends there & they still reply to me but as for the others I frankly don't care.
When their webmaster posted pics in a gallery of the new Ford Concept vehicles I commented on them. I am sorry but even Ford can make an ugly vehicle & many of them were. I stated my OPINION & the webmaster sent me an email w/a "dressing down" which he felt would prompt me to apologize. I won't! I am entitled to my opinion just as their cliques are & if they can say what they want so can I. Sorry but the Tonka is not attractive, the color rots & the name is a TOY'S name! I didn't swear nor get inappropriate but I sure angered the webmaster there. I expressed the SAME opinions here & Steve did NOT write to tell me that he didn't want to read derogatory comments - the pics were for us to see what Ford was coming up with as far as Concept vehicles go. Steve is not perfect - sorry Steve but you're not BUT he's far more mature & tolerant than other webmasters are. I appreciate that too.
What do you want to bet that 1 of the World people copies this post & posts it there? It would be interesting to see what they "do to me" when next I visit. It's something I wouldn't put past them. Immaturity can stoop VER LOW!

I have to admit that at first it really pi$$ed me off that someone was spreading untrue rumors about this site but I tried to staighten them out and look what happened...the post was deleted!

I regret ever starting any dialog with the genius who started the post. I was just trying to let everyone know the facts and I gues sit backfired.

Oh well, I learned my lesson. I will take the high road next time and not say anything because it is not worth it.

Ahh, CL. Isn't that what Dennis did here? And I did copy, an post it over there. It was deleted. So, should I grow up now. It's not as grown-up here as you make it CL. Everybody has fun at both sites. Actually, I think it's funny. That, an this thread.

I think this thread has probably run it's course here as well.
