WOW!

Ashenor, LightningDammit,, MRBBQMAN & Roach - THANK YOU! I am serious! I was overwhelmed at your kind comments & support. I never wanted this to be a contest - I really appreciate the L - I am PROUD of your trucks, just as much as you all are! It's a great feeling to know that the L is a FORD!
MRBBQMAN - I have that SAME costume! LOL! Thank you so much for taking that pic & posting it - I roared when I saw it! After the day I had, I needed that!
Ashenor & LightningDammit - I am so glad you guys are here! Very few L guys ever bothered to come here & the ones who did were great - now I can add you guys to my "favorite people" list! I look forward to your posts!
Roach - I almost cried with gratitude when I saw your post. Yes I was very upset at the comment you quoted from the member who "doesn't care" about the rest of us. I used to visit the L forum a lot - I loved to read the posts & hear about all the victories & mods you guys did & then, after being totally ignored when I posted I gave up. I didn't want to be "thrown out" by some of the more narrow minded L owners for NOT having an L of my own. I felt like I was "bullied" out of there & it hurt. You have made me feel so much better & have redeemed my faith in the kindness of an L owner. I sure wish all of them were as nice as you & the other guys who have checked us out here! Thank you again. I mean that.
Yes ATST - you were right - that comment really got to me. I try to be as helpful & friendly to ALL F150 owners that I meet & I was hurt as Roach also pointed out. I am over it now simply because of the response we're getting from our new L friends!
I sure hope you guys can serve as a shining example of the true spirit of this site! Welcome 1,000 times over!

CL,

Know what the goat herder said? "If God wanted us to drink cow's milk, he would have given us four hands."

LOL. That pic of the guy in the cow suit reminded me of that one.

Smile Chikenears from the L forum here,

I'm a Lightning owner and use the Lightning forum all the time. When I bought my Lightning I found f150online and got hooked on the L forum right quick. When I first started posting there I felt like I wasn't welcome either. People wouldn't answer my posts as fast as I wanted and I felt like an outsider. Then I realized that people have to get used to one another before they can feel comfortable around each other. It's hard making new friends, kind of like walking into a party where nobody knows you.

What I'm getting at is that there is a great bunch of people there all with the same interests, not unlike other forums. If you guys give us a chance to fit in, I'm sure we'll use the General Discussion forum more often now.

All of the talk about L owners being better than somebody else is just not true. 99% of all the guys and girls there are hard working down to earth people just like you.

I haven't used the GD board much because my interests are centered around my Lightning. But, I plan on using it more and more if I'm welcome.

Thanks,

Chikenears

PS. Would it be considered bragging if I posted my sig? I hope not and to test it... here goes

Nice sig!

Of course you're welcome here Chickenears! You're a member of this site & you drive an F150 - that's ALL that's necessary!
You are polite & that's all any of us ask of EVERYONE. It's not the L guys that are being picked on. I've personally reported harsh, abusive & vulgar posters right here in this forum & Steve was kind enough to ban them. I don't care what a person drives - if they're nasty they should go elsewhere & if they're nice, like all the L guys I'm starting to meet then I think of them as a friend! I've often wished there was more give & take among the members here. This is a blessing in diisguise I think!
BTW - nice pic! I didn't know that L guys were so handsome! Looking forward to seeing pics of your truck too!
Welcome to General Discussion where you NEVER know what you'll find here!

Thumbs up Cowlacy

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Here's a pic of a custom made mod. I don't have any recent pics of the truck but, just for you, I will get it out of the garage tomorow, wash it, and post a picture.

For some strange reason I got myself involved it the "debate" on the Lightning section. Remember I said: "Bla bla bla. Bla blabla bla!" Well it was something like that.
I just think that we should remember that there were only a few Lightning members who took part in that whole mess. There were even fewer who were, rude? I hate to say it but I think that many of the non vocal members have similar opinions as the more vocal ones. That is too bad. But life goes on.
The webmaster and monitor will keep things in check, as well as they can. If it is too much work than none of us will have F150 Online as an option. But, life goes on.
The debate thread is getting buried as we speak. It will be something that some one will wish they had the option of searching for, in the future. Perhaps to show thier children. As an example of what stubborness leads to.
Wow. I'm sounding pretty full of it these days, eh?

What ever happends, happends. And in two weeks I will be installing the supercharger that arrived today. I'm a happy boy. (Yes, I realize that I still can't beat a Lightning. So what! )

Good day!

Tom

Another L owner here

Just like Chikenears said.Just comfortable in the L forum.I've been a (dare I say it) CHEBBY man all my 35 years. My 01 L was my first ford.Believe me I got a lot of ribbing from family and friends. The truck has been everything I have been looking for in a vehicle and more but it is still just a f-150. I know it is not nearly even close to being the most expensive f-150.The L forum has been invaluable to me learning about the truck.(Just ask Chikenears about the bassini exhaust.I think he has a masters degree on it.).I always talk to guys that have F-150s about there trucks to get info.
I guess what I am trying to say is do not lump all the L guys into one group. There is good and bad people in every group. Hope to post more in this forum. I will post my sig because I am proud to own a Ford F-150 Lightning.

Smile As promised, for Cowlady

I washed my truck and tooks some pics. They aren't much good though, bright sunny days and silver trucks with chrome don't mix very well. I'll get some more on an overcast day.

I enjoy the GD forum just as much as the Lightning forum, I started coming to F150online before I bought my 2000 L to research the truck in the Lightning forum. But here lately I find myself enjoying the post in the GD more than the Lightning forum. I think allot of it has to do with the modding thing and then people complaining about Ford, Its getting old.

I really don't post much, just like to read some of the stuff you all come up with. The humor in the GD is great, Keep it coming...

Hope I won't need a flame suit...
