Dump Body...

I looked into getting a dump conversion for another truck that i had. I can't remember the brand or the company..they have them at northern tools ..but they do not list the brand name....I'd like to look into one for my screw..not so much for the dump capability but for the bed tilt....anyone know who makes these?

Thanks Ed

with the curves of the body and bed I don't know that you could make it dump without having a huge crack between the two. It would certinaly be a lot of work. Just my $.02

My 82 chevy has the Galion cylinder. It runs on its own electric motor(looks like a starter) bolted to the hydro pump and reservior. Of course it can lift 5 tons. You are simply looking for something versitile. I have seen those in northern, but I think they were for trailers. I cant remember the name. They all are simple to understand. Not much to it. The hard work is bracing the bed, so it doesnt crease, and adding the frame work for the pivot point. I dont know if Galion has a web site but they are the most recognizable name in cylinders. Parts are readily available for them. You might check parker hose also. They may have a site. I think they may go by the parent company name of Huffco.
