Business school project....Ford Operations MGMT
OK guys, i need some inside info...What are the operations like, general strategies, etc...Any Total Quality MGMT principles? What about Just in Time? IS FORD trying to mimic the Toyota Production system? Any help on where to find these answers would be much appreciated....

That's easy, Quality principles = If it reduces product costs, do it.
Just in Time = Only if it comes in under budget
Toyota production mimicing = does it save on product costs? Do it

yeah it is, unitl my MBA professor, mind you with 2 masters degree's, one doctorate, and is from Nigeria starts blasting my theories, I better have some more substane to back it up......lol...

With the recent change in management, things could be in flux at Ford.
Why don't you check with a stock broker and see if they have any info. You might be able to get some info from Ford's annual report. It may also give you a contact name at Ford for you to pursue.

Here is what I know about 'Just In Time'.
My engine has a build sticker of 3/23/99 in Windsor Canada.
My truck rolled off the assembly line in Norfolk VA with that engine on 3/25/99.
