Wink Gun or Muffler

I was born and raised in Chicago(Now live in Houston) and never thought I would ask this question......I have an extra $500 and need some advice- By a 9 mm Gun for fun and protection here in Texas or put a new Gibson Side Swept on my Lariat 4 x4. Any input is appreciated.

Both are very tempting, but I would go with the Gibson side swept. I think you would be happier unless you really, really like gun's.

Pretty odd comparison. A Swept Side would be less money. But if you think you need the protection, it would be hard to use.

A little humor but that's not a question someone else can answer for you.

I grew up in Houston and depending on where you live, work, drive, as with any city, protection is in order.

Tim T-

I lived in Houston once. I feel lucky to have got out of there with my life. I saw many crimes; as much or more than anywhere that I've ever been. I'D BUY THE GUN, get the license to carry, and stay in practice.

Being the frugal person that I am, if nothing's wrong with the exhaust system, why replace it? Buy a Glock.

Ok here it is...Buy the gun, some bullets, and a ski mask. It makes you very persuasive when getting your "deal" on the side swept. (I am just kidding, holding people up for money or possesions is wrong, unless it is your profession.)

I would get the exhaust. There is nothing like hearing a rumble when accelerating. Thats just my opinion. Although a gun can come handy...

This is my kinda thread. I'd buy a good reliable Ruger P94-9mm and still have enough left to go to a muffler shop and custom build a dual exhaust set-up for you.....

Exclamation

Both of them will get you into trouble.
You'll get a shorter sentence with the exhaust.

Thumbs up

Geez, what part of Houston do/did you guys live in??? I'm 34 years old and have never needed a gun for anything. Well, I did have a couple of pellet guns growing up. Even they got me in trouble, lol! Both times was a ricochet taking out a window in the family car, though Get the exhaust, unless you find yourself living over off of Fondren somewhere. Even Fourth Ward has become suburbia now.,,,,,98
