Snowing in Dixie

it snowed here today and I just happened to be up in the mountains with my canoe ! I had sooooo much fun , first time I paddled in the snow . It was really comming down , big fat fluffy flakes , could barely see the shore a hundred feet away. nothing on the ground when I got there , just a few flurries , but within an hour everything was covered .Wish I had taken my tent & sleeping bag ! Then I had a little panick attack a couple hours into it... I saw a car going across the bridge I was approching and thought they were going real slow checking out the crazy fool in the canoe , when it dawnd on me that these little traveled roads must be covered with snow and slick ! I thought , hummm , I better get my little **** outta here ! As I approched the boat ramp I saw how bad it really was ... good thing I was only in a canoe , because their was no way I was backing my SCREW down that ramp ! So I loaded up and made a 2 hour trek home at about 20 mph !

I took a few pics , but nobody was with me to take one of me... and as I write this I realize that I didn't take a pic of the truck in the snow! AAUUUGGGGGG!!!! would have looked so cool with the truck , canoe and snow !

we only get it once or twice a year...maybe 3 or 4 in a good year , so I don't mind it ... as long as I can stay clear of stupid people on the road

You know it's bad when...

You know it is bad when Atlanta has more snow on the ground in one day than what we have on the ground up here in Minnesota. Please send it our way, I really want snow.

So far we been lucky in west TN as we haven't had any snow but we had our share of cold weather with a week of the highs only getting into the low 30's today we made to about normal high temps in the mid 40's.
