I'm OUT! Fearless is FREE!

For those who say they don't believe in God I can PROVE He exists!
Real quick - the village was NICE & sent a HUGE high lift to dig the stuff they left out of the driveway approach. Usually they refuse & are VERY nasty. Not today!
While I was waiting for the help though, TRYING to uncover the rear bumper to stand on & clear some snow from Fearless, a Bronco pulled up & 2 ANGELS in the form of young guys asked if I needed help! They asked for $20 to do the entire driveway! Well, being from NYC & thankful that God heard & sent me help I gave them $20 each & they got Fearless out! They uncovered all the truck, did the parking spot he'd been in & even did the walkway & street where we pushed a ton of snow off & had huge mounds sitting in the way! I couldn't thank them enough! I want to adopt those boys!
So Allen & James - if you ever read this, come back & see "Mom" anytime - with or w/o snow!
Seriousy - I am out - we're ok so far (another storm coing tomorrow) & I am on my way to Church to help assist Mass since nobody else can make it in. Then I'm on call to help local hospitals get employees to/from work! Can't keep a good truck (or Cowlady) down for long!

Oh so that email I sent you to help you kill time was useless.
Just kidding.
I am glad for you that you are out!
hint: stay away from the grocery or convieneince stores. As they will now be flooded with desperate people.

Cool

Since when do Angels or God charge $20 to help ya out?
Just kidding with ya.
Those guys sound like they did a great job for ya, and glad to see that you're out 4 wheeling around showing them what a Ford 4x4 can do in that stuff. (Now just dont make me look like an idiot and put that thing in the ditch....)

Glad to hear CL. I've been reading your post and saying some prayers hoping that you make it thru unscathed. <SP> Glad to hear that the two angels were in a Bronco, hated to see them in a shevie. hee hee I just can't believe the snow you have all been getting out there. Just about 7 ft. of snow is just crazy in 5 and half days. Hope you don't get too much this next go around with mother nature. Take care out there and be safe.

Sounds like it's time to think about a heated driveway!

From what I heard about global warming it is supose to bring mild winters what is mild about 6 plus feet of snow and cold temps way down in the south.

It's good to hear that you got your driveway clear, and ole' Fearless is finally FREE!!! If you do get out on the roads, be careful and please put your seatbelt on! After seeing the snowstorm in Buffalo, NY on the news channel here in Tennessee, It made me think "Poor Cowlady" she's caught right in the middle of that mess. And I hope your alright, and that everything is OK. Just a little worried about you.

Is a heated driveway actually possible?

I'm thinking all it would take is a bit of resistance wire to be embedded in the concrete then pump a lot of voltage through it...

Or just get an electric blanket and just chuck it out on top of the snow and move it around occasionally....

Dunno... been 3 years since I dealt with snow...

I'm looking at ways to cool down our drive way
