cowlady:

I saw on the news today that some of our snow removal people are on their way down to help dig you out. Sit tight, stay warm and pray the power doesn't cut out like it did in Montreal a few years ago. I betcha the students are pissed it happened when they were already out of school eh?

Angry I MISSED IT!!

Ok, so I decide to travel a lot this past break and what happens when I leave, Buffalo gets pounded. Now where I live about 20 miles south of buffalo, we only got about 3ft total but still, i wanted to at least see how these MTR's did in deep snow. I drove through 4" with them and having a LS in the rear for the first time really threw me for a loop (almost literally) but I threw her in four and away we went. Oh well, i'm sure it'll be there when I go home again. IN MAY!!!!!

Update on state of emergency

While it has stopped snowing here in Buffalo, the state of emergency isn't completely over. Streets are narrowed to 1 lane in each direction & being widened as quickly as possible. The snow is being carted away in dump trucks & taken to the edge of Lake Erie - they figure it will slowly melt & run off into the lake.
I want to PERSONALLY thank all of you for your concern & support during this & for those who live in cities that have sent manpower & equipment an even bigger THANKS! The cost of cleanup is expected to exceed the $5,000,000.00 we'll be getting from the Federal Government but hey - at least it's a huge help!
Klaibs - check my gallery for pics - they say it all!

First time for everything

This may be a stupid question, but is your gallery the link in your signature or somewhere else?

Wanted to see what snow was like. Haven't seen it in 3 years. Heck, we haven't even had rain this year...

Wanna trade places Oman?

I would LOVE to not face snow, ice, blizzards, cold - all the trademarks of a Buffalo winter! If you feel a real need to experience snow, let me know & we can switch places! I'll even leave you my winter emergency kit - you will need it!
The pics are in a separate gallery - here's the link to it:https://www.f150online.com/galleries...gnum=648<br />. This should work. Now, don't be envious - this was a serious emergency, even for Buffalo. BTW - the snow on the truck fell from Wed Nite to Fri morning when I took the pics. There was no snow on the truck before this. Actually it snowed most of Fri too but hey - what's another 6" or so? By this point, even I couldn't tell!
Hope you like the pics!

Wow! That a crazy amount of snow. We've only had a few inches fall around here. The year before I bought my truck we had a big dump of snow around March, but not near as bad as what you guys got. About the only thing moving was the big 4x4's. I had that day off because of the fact that all city bus' were stuck. Really wish I had my truck that year. Of coarse ever since having my truck, we've yet to have anything near that much snow. Best of luck with the white stuff cowlady. It really does look like a snowmobilers heaven though.
