Wanna see some SNOW?

I'm back home - got in tonite & was lucky as I beat the snow once again! I came back to a foot of snow - had to use 4WD to get in the driveway! I just drove over the snow several times to flatten it out - I wasn't about to shovel!
Within 2 hours of getting back it started to snow again - 3"/hour! I heard we'll have at least another foot by tomorrow! I HATE SNOW! Sorry - anyone who wants snow can come & get as much as they want - I'm giving it away!
Anyhow, try this site for live webcam shots & you too can watch the snow fall & fall & FALL as I'm doing!
http://www2.weatherforecast.net/buffalo/eriecounty.html. Choose the Downtown or Tonawanda views - Angola is south of here & hasn't had any snow - so far! LOL!

no thanks!

Snow? Keep it! If I don't have to put my truck in 4wd at all this winter it'll be just fine with me.

I'm dreaming of a Cancun New Years!

Wow!

I saw that on the Weather Channel last night. And Buffalo was expected to get more. We have a couple inches here in Omaha, which is more to my liking.

BTW, thanks for the tip on the Pop Up Killer program. Works pretty good.

Cool

Hey Cowlady...

On Christmas Eve, I had my bike out!!!! Well only for like 30 minutes, be we here in CT could use some. Send it on over. I do advise against "driving over the snow to flatten it out" It will only be a sheet of ice with new snow over it. Very Trecherous!!!

This is serious!

We have received 25.6" of snow from 8PM till noon today. Another 12" will tie our record for most snow in 24 hours.
Airport is closed, the Thruway is shut down from Batavia to the East all the way to Hamburg to the West, all major roads in Buffalo are closed & clogged, driving bans & advisories are going up all over the place. Visibility is zero in most areas & this will keep up thru Fri nite. Even the TV news trucks can't get thru!
I cannot get out the door - seriously. The snow is hip high & at the foot of the driveway it looks to be above my waist. My truck looks like a semi - I have to brush that off at some point!
I'll post pics if I can - just from the doorway since I can't get the door open all the way - guess I'll have to try forcing it! Wish me luck!

That has got to be something...

Hey CL, that has to be something to see, I checked out the web-cam and I see that there is no one around in the downtown part of the city. Pretty amazing how snow can shut a place down. Hopefully you have some food reserves in the cupboards to hold you out for a while.
Living in Minnesota, typically we get snow storms that dump like 6-10 inches at a time, and then followed by really cold temperatures. We can also get some really bad snow storms as well. I wish that we could get some of that snow back here in Minnesota, but just holding out probably until the weekend of my wedding in two weeks (Jan 12, 2002). So much fun dealing with it, but then agian it is a good excuse not to go to work, and also to hang out here on the best truck site there is. If the snow keeps up, you will have 2,000 posts before long.

Will this work?

I'm trying to post some pics of the snow - hope this works!
Ooops - gues snot. I'll keep trying.
Just an update - I can't get the back door open at all. SNow has covered the steps & is nearly 1/2 way up the door & the little awning over the door has now caved in - it's a V shape over the steps & is about to collapse. I have to try getting to the back yard so I can knock some snow off before it rips off totally & crashes thru the back window in the door. All I need is for the snow to come IN the house! I can't even get the landlord here - with the driving ban & the thruway shut down he can't get to me!

Wow...

Yeah CL the pics work. It doesn't even look like a truck under that much snow. I can see where it is going to be a real problem with that much snow going anywhere. I would offer my fourwheeler with a plow on it to you, but it looks as if I would have no where to put/ stack the snow. Please post more pics.

Okay - here's the pics!

I just checked - back door is REALLY snowed in, the awning has caved under the weight of the snow & is V shpaed & I'm afraid will crash thru the glass in the door. I tried to knock the snow off from under it but it's so packed on it idn't even lose a flake! IF I can get out the side door I will have to wade thru to the back & try using a broom to get the snow off. I'm waiting for call from a snow plow guy - it's the only way I'll ever get out the door or driveway. Anyhow, check the pics out - the 1 with a tree is of my neighbor's bike - buried under the snow! The rest are my truck on it's way to looking like a SCrew or F650 by the time tis is all done - 5 DAYS from now!
