Last pic! BTW - it started snowing again, just as hard & I just heard will keep snowing this way thru tomorrow nite at least! Guys - HELP! Oh - that little indentation or groove you see between the house & the truck is the walkway or what SHOULD BE the walkway. That's what I have to get thru to get out & quite frankly, I'm not too thrilled about doing that!

WOW cl - I remember snow - from my days in Ontario & poor Buffalo really got it. Out here we have only had 1 signifigant snow in the 10 years I've been here. We get rain, rain, rain - but taht I can shovel.
My suggestion - gotto CHAT for the next few days - see if it melts!!

I'm just outside of Rochester and we had a little bit of snow on Christmas eve and that was about it. It started snowing at about 3:00 this afternoon and I think we'er up to a whole 1/2" of snow. The wind is suposed to turn around this weekend and then the snow will be coming off of lake Ontario. That will give Buffalo a break and get us and Syracuse.

I'm moving - to SOUTH AMERICA!

That's it - I've had it! I HATE snow. I HATE white. If I were getting married now I'd wear black JUST so I could be seen!
I just paid a guy $30 to plow me out. They had to use a high lift! I had him do alongside the truck too so I'd have room to maneuver a bit. I had to walk/wade thru waist high snow just to get to the back of the truck! I tried to shovel a path but it didn't work too well so I have to back the truck out & attack - yes, I said ATTACK from the parking pad side.
We'll have as much if not more than this by tomorrow so I'll have to call the guy back again. I can't afford this & I can't shovel w/the bad back I have. It was just around Thanksgiving that I was flat on my back in bed for a week - I am NOT going to go thru that again! I have ruptured discs in case you're wondering. I'm not a baby when it comes to pain but when the disc blows it makes my legs buckle & I collapse - I can't help it!
Anyhow, I will try to get more pics later IF I can stomach going out there again. Right now both pairs of sweatpants are soaked as are the 2 pairs of socks, thermal shirt, turtleneck & 2 sweatshirts I have on!
Oh - I TRIED to clean the truck off but it's SO high I can't reach the snow well enough. I'm calling a buddy w/a Ram (yeah - I know but I'm trying to talk him into a Ford!) & see if he can come help me. I'm worried about the tonneau - they were NEVER meant to hold that weight! Guys - keep me in your prayers - seriously. I have the rest of the winter to deal with this & for Buffalo, that is up to & including MAY!

Damn CL! Last winter I would have been so jealous but this year I'll keep my mouth shut

I hope you got some good tires under that truck! Hey maybe I should go down there and have some fun in the snow with your truck

Take care

I would rather have snow, now.

They are forecasting Storm from the North West Windforce 10.
That means if it is from the North West it is a nasty one.

Don't like stormy weather at all.
It means I'll be worried about my business.
Hopefully the storm will not cause any damage in the Westland area with all the greenhouses.

12:45 and it is already rough out there.

The weather channel said some parts of Buffalo have 70 inches on the ground. That's 6 feet! And it's still coming down. Luckily there is no wind or we would have some major drifts. Last night on the news they showed some people having a snow party. They had a bonfire in the driveway and were sliding off the roof of there 2 story house into the snow below!

Right now i can't even see acroos the street. I think i'm stuck here for awhile, send pizza!

Man! How would they even go about getting that thing off the beach?? To me, it looks like the only way would be to dismantle it where it sits, and possibly reassemble it in dry dock,,,,,98

Wait for the next storm and tow it out???LOL!

Post Ping An and Stardust

98screamer,

They expect to tow it to sea at hightide within three days.

But two vessels stranded on the beach only 1 mile from me were dismantled.
