CU puts TEXAS to shame...

WHOOP! As much as I hate to admit it (as a former student of Texas A&M), I was pulling for Texas until I watched the Florida game. I'm all about ANY Texas team winning over an out-of-stater, unless that Texas team happens to be t.u. while playing for a top spot.
I am sorry that they lost it the way they did, though. Applewhite is a much better quarterback and an outstanding guy, IMHO. Hell, did you see him right before the series where Chrissy got "hurt?" The guy was on the sidelines jacking his players up telling them to keep their heads up and fight the hard fight. Because of stuff like that, I have nothing but respect for him. He was the team leader and Brown benched him for high-profile hype. "Thanks for doing everything you've done for us Major, now go over there and grab some pine." Granted, I can't say a whole lot because Lil' Chrissy took us behind the woodshed the past two years, but the truth is the truth and anyone who remotely follows t.u. football knows it.
Oh well, congrats to CU for playing such a good game. I'm just looking forward to playing y'all next year...maybe McNeil will be starting by then and Farris won't be able to "give" y'all the game. Seriously, good job and Gig'em!

One officer was slightly injured and 11 University of Colorado students were arrested during the celebration of Colorado's 39-37 Big 12 championship win over Texas, said police spokeswoman Jennifer Bray.
Two people sought treatment for tear gas inhalation, while another was injured while running from the gas.
Some in the crowd of 500 lit bonfires, began tearing out street signs, traffic lights and began trying to overturn cars. Another crowd of about 100 gathered a few blocks away.
The area has been the site of at least six riots since 1997.
Police used tear gas on the larger crowd and stinger grenades and pepper ***** on the smaller crowd.
"It's disappointing that some people have still not learned how to celebrate responsibly," Police Chief Mark Beckner said in a statement. "What should have been a fun time turned into a malicious mob."
Stinger grenades put out a loud bang, bright flash, and small rubber pellets. Pepper ***** are fired from a paintball gun.
Police videotaped the crowd and will scan the tapes for suspects. More arrests are expected.
