Another eBay scam???
I've bought a lot of items on eBay and with the exception of CD's, nothing is as described. Even something sold as new is slightly damaged or irregular so I've become very cautious.
Tonight I found a '97 driverside door being sold by another GreenLeaf Company. It's desribed as having a small scratch next to the window molding.
What do you think, scratch or crack????

Looks like my door! Sorta!
I would say that's a door crack. It looks a lot like the 1 in my door - take your pick which door since I have them in both.
I'd pass if I were you unless your door is really damaged for a different reason.

That door looks kinda damaged. Like its been hit and dented. Mabye it's just the picture and the lighting. It looks like a crack.

Grrrr!!! eBay really bugs me!!! People sell things that they know they could never get away with in person. Some sellers are complete jackass's. The seller with the cracked door is a GreanLeaf dealer. These are companies Ford set up to sell rejected and used Ford parts so it's not like he's never heard of the problem unless he's a complete moron.
My next favorite action is for the Ford Taurus emblem advertized outright as a BladeRunner emblem. "This would be a great Christmas gift for someone who's hard to shop for".
It's looks good but it's not a BladeRunner emblem. They sell at the dealer for a list price of $30.03 and here's one on eBay at $38.01 plus $5.00 shipping. I lose a little more trust in people every time I look through eBay. ohhh...people,people,people............

The problem with eBay is that the sellers are not accountable for the items they sell.
It would be too much bother to track down these fraud artists for a small claims case in another state.
As far as the cracked door, the guy more than likely knows its a crack but chooses to call it a scratch.
Caveat Emptor (let the buyer beware)

It's not just a crack, it's the infamous door crack!
E-Bay has become a haven for scam artists that prey on the honest folk. Knowing that they will not be held accountable for their trickery, they go on taking advantage of others.
I feel sorry for the good vendors as they will eventually feel the effects too.

Saw your post regarding ebay. Sometimes the best way to judge most sellers is to look at their feedback. If people are always getting burned by this person they will let you know. And if someone changes their screen id's, there is a provision to indicate that will a pair of sunglass to seller has changed name or is new to the site. Quess i've been lucky. I've bought & sold for two years now and have only had great luck in both. But the old saying of "buyer beware" must truly be considered always.
Got a question for you???
Saw you use the term "Greenleaf dealer". Can you explain alittle more about that. I've never heard the term. I'm seriously looking to buy a set of lightning wheels and there are two independant companies in Michigan that have them at prices better than the dealers. The one (buy fordmotorsport.com) says they are a authorized Ford Motorsport dealer and have them for $160.00 a piece. The other (karkraft.com) does not claim to be authorized but shows tons of ford products on their site. They currently sell them for $600.00 for the set. And say they are genuine ford wheels. Do you think these companies are "greenleaf dealers"??
The BBB has a good report history on fordmotorsport and has been in business since 86. Can't find much history on karkraft and posts in here haven't found anyone who has bought much of anything from them.
Any opinions or thoughts would be appreciated. Cause like ebay, ever in the real world there are business people that are just out to get your money.
Thanks for your .02 cents.

GreenLeaf is a specific division of Ford

I've never dealt with www.buyfordmotorsport.com or www.karkraft.com so I cannot give you any advise there.
There is another GreenLeaf eBayer and from a complaint in their profile it looks like some of what they sell is truly just garbage that has no business outside a dumpster.

i buy things fairly frequently on ebay. Only thing i ever had a problem with was when i bought a CD that was supposedly "in original wrapping", but it wasn't. I think it may have even been a bootleg copy, plus i had a scratch in it. Oh well. I'm sure that 90% of the stuff on there is stolen too. Especially the stuff in those dutch aucions. I saw someone selling a 100 S&W SWAT knives for $5 a piece. I bought one of those same knives in a store and paid $40 for it.
