Sidewalk,

Doesn't matter to me if the F150 runs 10s, if it ain't a Lightning, the badging doesn't belong. I would make an exception in only one case... someone takes the time and money to fit the Lightning drivetrain AND suspension. Then the badging would be appropriate.

This was not meant to be a bashing topic. Thsi was supposed to be about other brand vehicles trying to be or look like fords. Now lets get back to the subject.

Okay, lets get back to topic.

I just got back from Canadian Tire (our version of Pep Boys). While there I saw the biggest poseur.

An older 4 door Saturn with a 5.0 on each front fender and on the trunk. Matching Cobra stickers in the rear quarter windows.

It gets better... a Gino driving it with his windows down blaring Macarena!!!!

He was parked right in front of the store waiting for someone... as if he wanted everyone to see his car.

I would not bash you for that. The nascar car have nothing to do with the make anymore. Unlike it was back 15 years ago. The only thing I can think of that is common is the emblem. O by the way every nascar has some Ford in it. A nine inch Ford rear end.

The best thing I ever seen so far is a GMC dealer have a Ford parts delivery van. I guess they what there parts on time. It has in big letters GMC on the sides of the van.

In my humble opinion you guys are getting way to involved in labels, LIGHTNING, COBRA, who gives a flying **** as long as it's ford it's cool. Don't put down another ford owner for putting on an emblem that they like, that's not cool! Perhaps the OFFENDER could not afford said Lightning or Cobra but wants the looks does that hurt us, not a chance and as for those crap talkin chebby guys i say **** EM!
