One of my members has been pulled over by the police 10 times or so for having the lighted logo on his truck.
He keeps telling them that it is factory installed but they won't believe that.
We are not allowed to have it on our trucks due to the bluish light.

Is it legal or illegal in your state/province ?

Have you ever had any problems for having the lighted logo?

 

I got one front, an back. Haven't had a problem yet. Knock on wood.

 

Those things are pretty cool. No one around here has them. How much to they run typically?

Yes, FastCloud has been pulled over by Barney Fife, and was told that they are illegal because the only acceptable lighting in the front of a vehical should be white for headlights and yellow for marker lights.
The same for the rear, white for back-ups, red for tails.
Of course I don't know anyone that has gotten a actual ticket just for the light, so if you have one, just make sure you aren't doing anything else wrong.

A store by us sells them for about $40.

Illegal in Maryland.

Any red or blue lights visible from the front of the vehicle are illegal. I've talked to 2 cops about this and they both said the same thing.

Same in Ontario. White and amber to the front only. Here, blue lights are reserved for slow moving vehicles. Cops and fire use red flashers, ambulance red and white flashers and green is reserved for volunteer firefighters on their way to a fire.

 

In most states, if not all, it's illegal to drive a vehicle with any blue lights or blue reflectors on the exterior of the vehicle. The only acceptable lights are white and amber on the front. Red and amber on the back.

 

I suppose this means blue, green red and purple coloured washer nozzles are illegal too. What will the ricers do?

Those lighted logos are illegal as all get out. Me an Andy are out in force. We are gonna nip it, nip it, nip it. They cause nothing but trouble. You have been warned.
