I just have a lighted logo on my tailgate. I've had a few law enforcement officers on the road behind me from time to time. Not been pulled over. I thought they are legal so long as it isn't flashing. Maybe I've just been lucky.

Good friend is a Worcester Cop. Asked him about it and he said locals more than likely will leave it alone however Staties might try to cite me for it. Been on upwards of a year and have been left alone. Also heard that "size matters" so the logo and washer nozzles may not qualify as actual lights. ennis

I did some research on our state laws (Tennessee). All I could find reference to was "flashing" lights. The way I read it as long as they are not flashing you are legal. (At least here in TN)
