Life Is Just A Big Ole Fat Ugly Mean Bitch!!!!!!
I just found out I'm out of a job.
Now how ironic is THAT. I buy a new truck(second car), on Saturday....find out our shop is being closed. We are technically not being fired. We are all being offered jobs at the corporate office. Would require relocating, not something I'm interested in at all.
DO you think I can take my truck back?? cancel the entire purchase?? I've put like 250 miles on it. *sigh*

Ouch
Are they going to pay you more in the corporate offices? If so, perhaps you could talk to your company and ask that they finance your move... might be a long shot, but you'll never know unless you try.

sometimes dealer's will repurchase within like 3 days, but i don't know about almost a week.
why not look into the corporate job? how far would you have to relocate? sometimes change is good.
if nothing else just get back in the market for a job and hopefully find one making more $$$. sometimes that's the best way to job hunt is when you have too. many member's here have lost work and made a good come back.
anyways sorry to hear about the job, and good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Sorry to hear about the bad news. Just so that you know that you weren' the only one, I was laid off not once, but twice during the summer. I am a drafter/desginer, and the industry just hasn't been good, because of the way that the good old economy is. I have bounced back, and managed to keep my truck and my fourwheeler. I was unemployed for a total of month and a half, so not long, but still tough. I can still feel the pinch in the lost money.
Just thought that I would let you know that if you try, you will find a good job, if not better, and always look for more money, just like what I got.

That's not life, that my EX-WIFE!!!
She's after me for more money again.
Sorry to hear about your job situation. I thought I was going to be in that same boat as well. I had figured my company was going to do some consolidation and my boss had called me and said he was coming down to talk about my 'review', almost 2 months early. I kind of figured, well this is it. They did consolidate and eliminate what I was doing but they offered me something else. I ended up in pretty good shape. That was pretty scarey.
Good luck.

lrutt, I know the ex was glad to hear that.
I see that we share the same birthday.
Even though I'm a year older than you don't feel obliged to send me a present.
Unless you still send the ex gifts, then I might as well get on board.

Sorry to hear about your job. Most dealers really don't seem to want to take a car back. They will want to put it on the used car lot and give you about $1500 less than what you paid for it. I tried to do that one time but then decided I couldn't afford to loose the money. I would hold on to the truck for as long as you can and see how things work out. I think your gonna get about the same about out of your truck if you try to sell it now or wait a month or so. Things may have worked out by then and you may have a new job and a nice new truck too!

I am certain things will be fine. I still have three months until "the end", so I'm just gonna roll with it and see what happens. I think they are going to give us a bonus to stay till the end. Somthing will come up.
