this really depends on where you live. here in miami, we have some great beaches, so my dad and i decided to get a jet ski about 4 years ago, while my best friend got a 4 wheeler around the same time. let me just tell u, i wish i had gone for the four wheeler. jet ski's are great, BUT the cops here are a$$holes to people on jet ski's. just last weekend i got a ticket while i was out. we're supposed to have a whistle in the jet ski for safety's sake at all times (yea right, like anyone is gonna blow a freakin whistle if theyre in trouble ), and i had one but it didint work, so i got a 100 dollar fine! i go out mudding with my best friend out on his fourwheeler a lot, and i can tell u id trade my jet ski for a four wheeler any day! that is a blast, and as long as we're safe, the cops dont mess with us. this is just an opinion, but if i were you id definitely go for the fourwheeler.

Water is the same everywhere... but the terrain always changes See what I'm saying? Jet skis get boring after awhile but you always have something new to try on a 4-wheeler. I just sold mine awhile back and regret it everyday

Both

Life is to short not to enjoy it to the extreme, get both and enjoy not having to worry about which one to not get.

Enjoy!!

Get the...

Personally I would get the fourwheeler. I have a 99 Polaris Xplorer 400, and man is it fun running down forest roads, and trails. Plus up here in Minnesota, you can ride the wheeler anytime you want...Where as the Jet Ski I could only ride for roughly 7 months out of the year, with 3 of those 7 being in very cold water....Not to mention the ice in the winter.
Lightninginvegas - Just like stated above, water isn't the same everywhere you go.

get the wheeler. i got an '01 polaris trailblazer this year. "just to chase my son on his dirtbike" ya know. man this thing is a blast to ride. plus it's amazing how many places you can find to ride. also as posted above it's always different, mud, trails, sand, limited only by your ability to travel a few hours one way or the other to get to the trails you want to ride.
then of course you have to ask sport or utility.

Both are great!

I would recomend you try a friend's or rent one for the day. Try both to see which one you like best. I have a Sea-Doo and a Four wheeler also. I enjoy both but I Love taking my Sea-Doo out to the lake or beach on a hot humid summer day. Just going out and relaxing in the sun. I never get tired of it just run out of gas and then it's time to go home. They are both great. Also it is a lot more fun and safe if you have someone to go with. What do your friends mostly have?

What ever you buy I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Had a Suzuki Quad runner had to get rid of it because people didn't like me driving it in the neighborhood. Bought a 98 Sea Doo GTX. The SeaDoo is a blast. I'll agree with above posts regarding police harassment. When my friends and I go out we each put in $25 to a pool. Then whoever gets the ticket gets the pool... its actually that bad. I tend to go right over the border to Wisconsin to a few smaller lakes. I have never had a problem on Lake Michigan however. Also, I go take it down to Table Rock Lake and Lake of the Ozarks, no problems there. Definitely a hard choice.
