hehehehe could be a new way to get guns: burglar comes in with gun, gets scared sh^$less by large man with axe. goes out nearest window after dropping everything in his hands and making a small deposit in his drawers
oh the wally world thing, yep i bought one there. walked you out to the lot and wouldn't even allow you to buy shells at same time. however you could put gun in car then go back in for shells.

Hello All,

I've haven't been shooting my Glock much lately but I finially got an email from Glockmeister after more than a month and they informed me that my Glock 17 was manufactured in February of 1992. Man, that pistol sure was taken care of well since I thought it couldn't have been more than a year old and it's almost 10. Either way, I feel like I stole the damn thing for $250.

Again, thanks goes out to everyone for all the input and good advice eventhough I didn't get the pistol that each and everyone recommended, I did get one that was very popular.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year if I don't talk to you guys/gals until after the holidays!

I'll take a digital photo of it and place it here for those that are not that familiar with the looks of an earlier Glock17.

Later,
DaveMan

Unhappy

I see that I am too late on this thread...I was going to suggest a GLOCK all the way. I own 3, my oldest being a 1989 Glock 19 9mm. I am absolutely pleased with each and every one of them. My 1995 Glock 21 has about 3,000 rounds through it and still looks like new.

Got an email from the NY Times this morning with an interesting link on guns and how we've armed ourselves since the 911 attack on our country.

Check it out.

No Doubt about it

FORD ----HARLEY-DAVIDSON -----AND SMITH & WESSON (44 mag Mod 629 stainless) the best there is. If it's good enuff for Dirty Harry then its good enuff for me. I killed a buck a few years ago with mine and left a hole big enough to insert your fist.

The thread that wouldn't die....

I tried to get out to do some shooting this weekend but alas, between the rain and the real world no dice.

If anybody lives in Maryland and wants to get together to do some shooting I will be home for Christmas.

for $300 you can send your s&w back to the factory and have them nickel plate it so it is shiney like the chrome on your truck and they re-do the engravings so it looks like you bought it that way unlike other places who will plate your gun and it covers all the markings......i have a nickel plated model 13-3....i love it....and believe it or not it cleans up easy.....

Okay fellow shooters, or is it hooters?

I promised a pic of my piece and so I'm late but I'm gonna deliver what I promised. It aint nothing to get excited about but nontheless here it is. I think it's in damn good condition from the little I know and it's equiped with a 17 round mag to boot.

Now I need a cleaning kit, anyone care to comment on what I should get or do?

Glock 17 made in 1992.

Talk later dudes,

DAVEMAN...
Nice piece. I use the Otis cleaning system and it works for me. I think you can buy them at Cabelas or Bass Pro Shops or try their web site http://www.otisgun.com/

get a bore snake.....you'll thank me when you go to the range for a couple of hours with ten guns and have to spend hours cleaning them....the bore snake takes seconds....i think wal-mart even sell a generic version of it, but if you can't find it there the Dillon catolog has them.
