Mine is somewhat minor.

I took the truck in for the lugnut recall. It took them 90 minutes to do this (to remove all 20 lugnuts and replace with new ones) seemed like a simple thing so I waited. I then drive the truck to my parents place only 5 minutes from the dealer. Dad comes out and says "hey, where's your hubcap?" I look and sure enough the centre hub from the polished aluminum XLT rims is missing (drivers front).

I drive to the dealer and sure enough it fell off as I was driving out of the lot. The speed was so slow that the hub didn't make any noise when it fell off. Okay, so they put it back on and I drive away again.

As I am leaving the lot the passenger front falls off, but this one I hear.

I storm into the service desk and pronounce that the following weekend I am making a 6 hour drive up north to see the girlfriends family. I any wheels fall off the truck, the service manager, mechanic and dealer are all in for a large lawsuit. Now is your time guys to ensure that all lugnuts are torqued to spec and the hub caps are on properly.

So the mechanic comes out wit the torque wrench and makes sure they are tight and then proceeds to whack the heck out the hubcaps with a mallet!

The remaining 2 hubcaps (both rears) fell off as I drove to my own house.

The jerk service manager would not replace them claiming that the springs wear over time.

Long story short, a few favours were called in from a close friend who buys many, many company trucks from said dealer.

Even a simple repair gets messed up by these factory trained class "A" mechanics.

Hey, here's one for you, I had a head gasket, 8 coil packs, torque converter, two rims bent from the factory, rear end, lumbar seat and a front main seal all replaced by my dealer in the first 2 yrs..

Dealer arranged a $4K credit, 6yr 75K mile warranty and a great trade in price for my 99 F150XLT 4x4. Put me in a loaded crew for less than the total for my old truck and a lower rate...

How about some good stories?

Try University Ford North on Roxboro Rd...

Geeze. Such horror stories. The worst thing my dealer's done is to change the stations on the radio (volume at about twice what I set it at too) and that happened only once out of all the times all my Fords have been there for servicing and warranty work.
Same thing with my Probe, except one of the speakers sounded like crap (blown?). I had a new one put in under warranty, but it never sounded as good. I think they probably put the wrong one in.

OK, I gotta know what dealership this was in NC. I'm having a helluva time getting University Ford Downtown to get me warranty parts. First the parts were not in stock, next time they said they ordered the wrong model year parts, then I wait another two weeks and call. Found out ALL parts were cancelled.
This has gone on for six weeks now. Wait until I get the Ford service survey for this one!
