Normally the only ones removed are spammers and members that repeatedly make abusive posts. You might be surprised at the number who sell their truck anc then return to the forum when they find out they miss their truck and buy another.

Yes ^^^ That was my feeling on this request too. If he doesn't want to be active here, that's fine, but there's no point in removal.

Agreed, even the illustrious FrankS just stopped posting, but never asked for his universally beloved user name to be deleted.
At the risk of being repetitious........

Am I missing something? Why is FrankS "universally beloved" regarding that user name? I need to know...

It goes back a long way. We used to have some very heated discussions about politics and religion and anything else FrankS was opinionated about. Frank was very well read and got riled so easily that it was quite often open season on poor ole' Frank.
I must admit I took my shots, sometimes just being devil's advocate to see FrankS lose it.
Habibi was his primary tormentor.
I think Frank left soon after he received some very high BP numbers from his Veterinarian.

The "universally love" part was me being a wiseass.

Jack and Jim spent many moderator hours "schooling" us peons on proper online techniques for ignoring Frank. I feel certain there were many of us that were two words away from permanent bans.
It is rumored that mods such as Jack, Jim and Brad had alarms set to go off and wake them if any of the designated members posted in the same thread as Frank.
F150online was a different world back then, more the old wild west than the refined, cultured, heavily ladened information sanctuary it has become.

Geez, if xrider wants his membership to end, then end it. He can always join again if he gets another F150. What's the big deal unless the site gets more ad money based on membership total.

Roadie, there's a technical issue. All previous posts will change to "guest" unless you delete all of them, and that would cause a lot of discontinuity in threads.

Oh man! This reminds me of divorce. It is never 100%. I divorced my wife #1 32 years ago and I moved, but I still get mail addressed to her.

My brother-in-law ordered personalized license plates from the DMV.
For his second choice he wrote 'NONE'.
You guessed it, that's how his plate came back.

He thought it was pretty funny until he got 847 parking tickets.
