Strange observation

So last night I was bored, waiting for the house to settle down so Santa could come. Somehow I ended up on YouTube watching 18 wheelers in wrecks caught on camera. Most commonly it was some dimwit not paying attention like missing the exit and swapping lanes at the last minute or backing up on the expressway or just stopping. I started to notice a trend though and thought it kinda strange. Most of the morons in the cars......were driving Toyotas. What's really whacko is my driving around here also has the clowns driving Toyotas as a danger to everybody. Not saying ALL Toyota owners are whack jobs but it sure seems to be a common denominator. Any of you see a trend?

For the most part, every prius I see on the road seems like it is being driven by a little old lady. They drive 5 mph under the speed limit and take about 2 hours to get up to speed on the highway. Not all are like that, but it seems to be around 80%

Toyotas are pretty common vehicles, so you're more likely to see them?

OMG - as a person who spends a tremendous amount of time behind the wheel traveling around the state of Texas, Prius owners are HANDS DOWN THE WORST!!!! They’re usually plodding along well below the speed limit and serve as nothing more than a bottleneck that the rest of traffic has to work their way around! And watching them try to merge into highway traffic from an entrance ramp is painful! Don’t even get me started.....

My experience is that Volvo drivers are the worst. I think that's why they buy Volvos. In the bad old days, VW Bug drivers were terrible too.

I'd think the potheads would prefer the VW bus instead of the Beetle.

Wow, the interior is interesting. There are no switches and gauges... that would drive me crazy!

The pedals have a pause and a play symbol.

Imagine putting marbles on that dash tray and making turns? lol

30 minutes of charging at 150kw will charge it to 80%. Most homes don't have that much current going to it.

You can do what I did a couple years ago when I wanted more 220v circuits. I had my POCO run a new 400 amp feeder line, then I split it between 2x 200amp boxes.

So if I wanted to charge it at 150kw, I'd have to have them put a larger feeder line in or just run a 800 amp line with a separate meter. (150kw @ 220V = ~680amps) in the garage. Assuming they run at 220V.

Then I'm sure there is a smart charging system that goes to it, which probably costs $$.

That is the only problem with electric cars. The initial investment...

Then comes the scary part... 800 amps at 240V is NOTHING to mess with!

However, I don't even know if most local codes will even allow for that in a residential environment. I know I got some strange looks when I was having 400 amp service installed.
