Smile Freedom Of Speech(Not Upset)

For those who feel im upset are wrong.Just stating how( I )felt...Poeple in the other forums are mostly knowledgable poeple. From mechanics, to poeple sharring from there own experiences. As any one can tell Im still knew to this website.
From how many posts I have.I just have to say that this is one of the best sites I have been too, from the great job the moderater does and the knowledge the other members share with me and others.Where the first thread came from(the one who started all this)I have no idea.I thought it was un called for and I was just sharing my.02 cents.Ill just take my junk lightning that runs 12s with the A/C on and stick my up turned nose back to the lightning forum.Where Im loved .Thanks and God Bless All .P.S (I STILL LOVE MY LIGHTNING!)

Normally we try not to respond to people that do not make any sense, but in the interest of not having you go away feeling ignored, I will try answer you and be delicate with your feelings as possible when I tell you:
This was your post
Sand dunes Dont have any sand dunes where i live.
Sounds like someones jealious to me.Just cause i dont jump sand dunes or shove my truck in the mud or dont haul hay,or bricks or***** it doesnt make us(lightning owners )wrong for having our own chat room.Besides thats what i use my xlt for.Why would i go to the bone stock slower than dirt f150 thread for performance tips on my lightning?
Now if you read the thread you replied to carefully, The issue was: Do Lighting owners think they are better than other Ford Truck owners because Lightning owners post all topics (even general ones) in the Lighting forum and not in the Specific other (like "General") Ford forums where every ford owner on the site may read and reply.
For example Audio topics in "Audio", and World Trade center (or other off topic) issues in "General" Now you can't tell me a sterio in a Lightning F150 is any different from the sterio in a reg F150.
Then we move on to what some may perceve as insults:
Calling people that chose not to buy a lightning jealous?
Anyone can buy a F150 Lightning. Anyone can also buy a Lariat, 4x4, Screw, F250, or even a ranger. No test is required. No spelling test, driving test, or even a high school diploma is mandatory. While sleek in design, and quick off the line, the F150 Lightning is cheaper than a Lariat 4x4, so price isn't even a barrier either. Botton line: if some one wants one, they will have one, and saying anyone that doesn't have one, is jealous is just silly. Also calling some ones Truck that they chose to buy "slower than dirt " and implying that they are only fit to "haul hay, bricks or *****" won't win you any friends that don't own F150 lightings, but that only solidifys thoughts that F150 Lightning owners don't need any friends that don't own F150 lightings right?
No one insulted you:
1) no one called a lightning 'junk' (not even yours)
2) performance was not even discussed. (obviously F150 Lightning performance issues are the exact type of thing that is unique to F150 Lightnings and very appropriate in the Lightning forums)

Even though I spelled it out clearly, I probably wasted my time, as I doubt you will catch on.
Seeing as how you appear to be communicating in a language that average people do not understand, it is clear that the F150 Lightning forums are probably the right place for you to be posting.

Very well stated andthensometoo. I too have come to the conclusion that many (not all) of the Lightning owners are in fact doing us a all a huge favor by only posting in the Lightning area.

I don't remember who it was that brought up their affinity for snake-skin shoes, but based on my observations they seem to gravitate more toward "high-top light-up-when-you-walk Filas"

The whole notion of these modded-up fast trucks makes me wonder whether if, in some parallel universe, there exists a site devoted to people interested in improving the payload, towing capacity and offroad capabilities of their Mustangs.

Now that is funny, logical. Nitrous63,it's okay! Your L isn't junk, no one said it was, if I remember correctly. It's weird how "new" members get riled up so easily, no explaining it I guess. You'll fit in soon, I'm sure of it,,,,98

the lighning ower and the regular f150 owner are two totaly different animals. to me the lightning is for the guy that want a corvette or cobra, but doesnt want the rough ride and wants to ocasionally haul something. plus once you get used to driving a truck, driving a car stinks! the lightning is the bset of both worlds - performance, looks, image and it can even haul a boat.

over 50% of vehicles sold today are truck or suv's. the camaro and firebird are history and seem like everyone talks about the lightning. sorry but most of the people who buy trucks now days could not tell you what the payload is. the sports car is out (rx7, supra, 300zx, firebird, camaro, ) and the suv-truck are in (345 h.p cadilac escalanta, 380 h.p. lightning, 300 h.p. navigator).

the z-06 corvette is the most awsome corvette that chevy has ever made and some people dont even know what it is.

i will agree that the lightning forum can be brutal if you are not up on the latest thing.

Unfortunately, the latest thing to most in the Lightning forum is either the latest "shoot bin laden" website or another rehash of which pulley is "baddest".....yawn

Alright......there are some aholes with Ls and some with other models--duh! I replied about this before and now again. As brotherdave said, anybody can look a little crazy--we all love our trucks.

Btw, brotherdave, re. an earlier post of mine(and yours), did you ask your dad?

Dan

ps: want to see if he 'remembers'?

BROTHERDAVE:

Tell your dad that I saw Brother Dave Gardner in person at a motel lounge back in 1962(?) in Cocoa Beach, Florida. I staid for two shows. I have two of his 78rpm records---I'm old, I know.

Not better or worse - just different

I have a 4X4. I love my truck. I also love performance. I may not be able to blow an L out of the water but I wouldn't want to. Racing another F150 is not something I'm interested in doing. Blowing away a Ram or Z71 or Silverado is! They don't have trucks that come close to the L - at least in my opinion. I have no problem going after those "wanna be" trucks. They aren't Ford's!
Everyone has different needs - I live in Buffalo & NEEDED a 4X4 to get out to my parents house 90 miles away when my Dad was terminally ill. Even w/o a reason like that when I decided to get a truck I wanted 4WD - period. It suits my needs very well.
I can attest to the fact that many times, new members have shown in chat - asked if anyone owned an L & when we said no they left - abruptly. They didn't say bye - some didn't even bother to say hi! If there weren't L owners present they wasted no time in leaving - fast & w/o apologies - same way they drive their trucks I guess. That's a shame as had they bothered to stay & say hi they would have met some really knowledgeable guys, very friendly & who enjoy talking to L owners. We may not drive an L but it doesn't mean we don't like them either! I went for a ride in 1 of the member's L's last year & I still get psyched over that! It was awesome!
In short - we all have different likes & needs but we're ALL F150 owners just the same. I look at it his way - as long as I'm not asking you to pay for my truck I expect to not have to defend my choice either. I wouldn't criticize an L for not being anle to do what my truck can do - don't criticize me for not having an L. Ok - off the sopabox! Now, let's just all get along ok?
