What.....???

A neat car, but possibly the most unrealistic vehicle valuation I have ever seen in my life.....

If you read his entire post, he listed at 235K because he wants to keep it but his wife is making him offer it up for sale. If he sits on it for another 20 years it might actually be worth something, but right now I wouldn't pay more than 15K for it.

That was EXACTLY what I read into it.....

One thing that I thought was interesting was the sticker price on that vehicle back in 1991 -- they didn't give those things away.....

It's got the right engine - a Chevy 350 with TBI.

Sticker in 1991 is $36,215.00, in 2017 dollars that's $65,347.23.

WHY THE ASKING PRICE OF $235,000?

My plan is to drive this car, but my wife insisted that I offer it for sale, in case someone wants it more than I do. If we do not sell this at a good price, then we will start driving and enjoying it ourselves. I am not a motivated seller. This is not a fire sale. Only consider this car if you really want it.

It would be a shame if something that pristine was actually put out on the real roads.....

Bingo -- I don't think you have to leave it parked, but to start using as a daily vehicle would be a real shame if that's what this guy is intending to do.....
