Complete Outrage....
I heard this on CNN today... A couple of firefighters in Dade County, Florida are in trouble because they refused to ride a firetruck bearing an american flag stating that it violates their civil rights...
If I was their supervisor I'd point out that the flag IS their civil rights and if they didn't like it, they'd be FIRED immediately. I'm sorry, I'm all for civil rights and stuff but that's just going too far!

Do NOT let me at these "people"
Send those 2 civil right's firefighters to Ground Zero. Make them dig for the bodies of OTHER firefighters who gave their lives for the victims & the flag. If that doesn't change thier minds, then shove them in the basement of the WTC & leave them there while they re-think their position! Maybe then, they may come to their senses! If not, fire them & bring them up on charges of treason. We don't see a lot of that being used to weed out undesirables anymore - maybe we should revive that charge.
As for the guy with the sign - I would pull over too. First I'd slap him upside his head, then I'd throw him in the back of my truck, sign & all & drop - I mean DROP him off at the local police or FBI office. They can deal with him any way they want!
I am not a person who condones violence. But, I am & have always been patriotic to my country. Not necessarily the politicians but the COUNTRY itself.
I recently had the pleasure to watch a HUGE flag being raised at a car dealershp - thw weekend before this tragedy struck. I was with Pallet Queen & while we were waiting for our dinner order to arrive, we watched this & started talking about the pride we feel when we see the flag. To me, the flag is a symbol of the many heroic people who fought to start this country, to keep it together during the Civil War & to defend it throughout our history. I have always felt that pride, even during our darkest moments in history. I do not tolerate any disrespect to our flag - I never will. It makes me feel so happy to know thay you share these feelings & that the members here are true Americans!
