The new ride

On the last gen edge sport, they came with 22's and the had the same 5 x 4.5" pattern as the explorers. If the offset is the same and the hub bore they would look good on an explorer sport with about a 1-1.5" drop.
They are 22 x 9 with a 39 mm offset and the tire size is 265/40/22
Your wheels are 20x 8.5 with a 44mm offset and a 63.4mm hub bore

It was just a suggestion, you can run whatever wheel and/or tire combo and/or size you want. Afterall, your making the payments, not me. I just threw my opinion out there, that's what I would do if I had a new explorer sport.

I truly appreciate your input, I hope you did not find my response offensive, I was only asking for thoughts on lowering with same wheel and maybe smaller tire, still open to those suggestions - happy Friday

Thank you!! There are more areas that deserve attention, but as stated I was limited on time, but will be happy to get more. The powered 3rd row seats are awesome -- think they have been around for a while but new to me plus the no hands rear hatch
