I found London to be the same way. Since the government will furnish them free education, free housing, free medical, etc basically their attitude is "FU, I don't need this job". I guess the fact that the government takes a large share on their income also plays into the fact that many of them don't work.

Frankly, I don't know why all of the Bernie supporters don't just move to Europe if they think it's so wonderful!

My daughter lived in France for over a year and she loved the country and it's people but she's enough of a realist to realize that there's no way that any country can survive for long when it just gives everything away for free and no body has to actually WORK to pay for the things that they want.

You must have missed the draft beer at the British exhibit in Epcot. Best dang beer I ever drank!! Maybe you weren't hanging out at the right spots!

I dammed sure know what it is to be Canadian. I hold both a Canadian and a US citizenship and I've lived and worked in both countries as well as a few other countries. As far as people moving from the US to Canada. I know ONE! And he moved there in the 1960s to escape the Draft. Even the draft dodgers wouldn't STAY in Canada! All of the ones that I knew moved back to the US in the 1980s and 90s. OTOH I personally know dozens of Canadians that live in the US either full time or part time. This part of the US (Florida) is FLOODED with Canadians that come here to escape the high taxes and high cost of living in Canada.

You don't know what you're talking about!

One thing is sure; Trump scares the Hell out of the socialists in other countries that have grown to rely on the US for their economic and military protection and their one sided business deals!

I live about 20 miles from there and I fully agree! But Dismal World is still effective in sucking all of the vacation money out of all of you foolish, liberal Democrats :-)

Thank you for your money. Now leave!

Yup, I DO know what I'm talking about. I've lived in both country's too.

My CEO and 4 of co-workers all left the US to move to Vancouver and are extremely happy with their choice. I work with and Manage US employees everyday.

On the taxes Front, I did a little looking. This is what I found. Obviously, this is over simplified and there are rebates given your certain situation. But the tax gap isn't what it was in the past.

Comparing a California citizen to a British Columbia Citizen
Income $50k

Take home BC: $41,481
Take home CA: $38,600
This is with the basic deductions everyone pays unless specifically exempt
Tack on $2000 for CPP and EI to the BC dude and he's at $39,481

CA Sales Tax: 7.5-10%
BC Sales Tax (GST/PST) 5-12%

And I don't pay a dime for healthcare.

Trump scares the hell out of anyone with common sense and like the title says...

Apparently you don't know as much about the US as you think you do. There are 50 states in the US and several territories. California is only ONE state and is probably close to top of the list of expensive places to live. Do you know what the state income tax rate is here in Florida? It's ZERO percent!

And our sales tax is 7% compared to your 12%. And I'll add that many places in Canada have higher rates than 12%. Current HST, GST and PST rates table of 2016

I also don't pay anything for health insurance. Most people with professional jobs here in the US pay little if anything. And I can tell you for a fact that I get a lot better service and a lot sooner here than I did under the Canadian health system! My uncle in the UK waited 8 months to be SEEN in the UK health system and died of cancer before he ever saw a specialist. National health insurance? No thanks!

I was picking to comparable demographics...

Most of our day to day products like food, we only pay 5% on. The highest sales tax is 13% (ON and MB as far as provinces go).

FL doesn't have state tax, You still pay Federal tax, not 0%. Everyone in the US doesn't live is a tax free state.

I have employees in 8 states, and have been to every single state in the US.

I was looked at immediately when I was diagnosed with a major illness last year, my MRI was the following day. At least I don't have to worry about not being able to afford a broken arm or leg or helicopter lift or ambulance, etc.

Many are not professionals in the states and they have to pay for their Obamacare. My Sister is one of them.

I'm going take a stab in the dark and say it's been a few years since you were residing in Canada...

I'm glad you are happy in the sates, great. I'm glad I moved back. In the end, Trump isn't looking like he is going to be your savior, but we will see how it plays out. Can't say I'm stoked with our prince of a PM either, but I didn't vote for him...

Ummm, OK. I was responding to the article that Roadie posted by Ann Coulter, not bringing it up over and over (a little sensitive aren't we?). I read EVERY response here and have seen only opinion (remember chocolate and vanilla), nothing has been proven either way. That is what the court is for.

Man-o-man you Trump guys see an enemy everywhere if someone criticizes ANYTHING Trump says or does, no matter how goofy it is........chill out.

when you start quoting Ann Coulter and then people start the why cant we be more like Europe thing ......it is down hill quickley

US population is 320 mil plus, it is impossible for the US to be ran like a country of 5, 8 or 10 million people. it just dosent scale that way.

if North Korea starts firing bombs, who you gonna call?

I love disney , but i am a big kid, If you go there and are concerned with cost...don't go. if you go in the summer or holidays...don't go.

best theme park trip ever, bush gardens Tampa and I paid for the elite package for 5 of us. no line, ride twice if you want with out getting out of your seat, reserved seat for any show, reserved food tables, no waiting, all food and drink included, got to go in elephant area and feed them apples from my hand.

I'm retired now and have the time and the interest to listen to all sides. I watch MSNBC's Morning Joe between 7am and 9 am. NBC stands for Nobody but Clinton. I watch Real Time with Bill Maher. He's about as far left as you can get on most issues. He's funny sometimes too. I watch some of the programs on CNN, the Communist News Network. I like to listen to and read all sides. I occasionally read Ann Coulter too. Listening to all sides helps form a more accurate picture of what the real story is.

It was recently announced that Trump's campaign manager will NOT be charged.

I went back and did as you said and clicked on the red highlights. The Wall St Journal wants me to buy a subscription to read that article......that aint happening!

The one about the Border wall reads like a very left wing source (I don't know if it is). Also is an Opinion piece-so nothing proven there.

The video one I will give you, plus I also heard that Lewindowsky (or however the heck you spell his name) will not be prosecuted, so that one is a gimmie. But has absolutely nothing to do with Cruz so I don't know why Coulter would include it to bash Ted.

One out of three..........not bad, I think Ill switch my vote!

I still maintain that Coulter sounds like she is riddin' the "COTTON PONY"

So far everything I've seen that "BACKS UP" Cruz being a two faced liar is pretty flimsy at best.

I went to another Trump rally and was manhandled.
I was just standing there in my Rainbow Coalition jacket.

Going back tomorrow in my Hare Krishna robe.
