Anderson, that plane looks awesome. I have been contemplating getting into planes for a while now. I just havent taken the leap yet. I have flown some smaller quads and helicopters but thats as far as ive gone in the air. I really wanted to get into helicopters for a minute, but i quickly realized the cost of that hobby is more than my bank account can handle. Planes have really been appealing to me. I think i may log some time on a simulator at a local hobby shop and go check out a few flying clubs on the weekend. If i do get a plane i will probably start with an electric. I have been watching alot of videos on youtube on those EDF jets. They look llike they can be fun to fly, but require more than just beginner level experience.

Ive been into RC cars for about 16 years, worked at a hobby shop when I was younger and driven almost every car out there. I've had nitro trucks, electric street cars, fast electric boats, rock crawlers and race trucks. I've gone through about every variation and category of RC (except planes, never got into those) and over the past 6 years I have settled into the scale aspect of rock crawlers. Its not all about how fast you can go or how high you can jump but how real looking you can make your ride look and drive. I've kept many different cars and trucks, some for sentimental reasons and others have come and gone. So here is my collection as it sits now.

Tamiya TXT-1
My first rock crawler. Currently needs new servos but does run.

Team Associated TC3
This car has seen many different looks. It has been my parking lot racer to my drift machine. It's current livery is my attempt at Elanor from Gone in 60 Seconds.

Tamiya F150 Baja
This was a later addition but it is one sweet little truck. It will take ANYTHING you throw at it and is so much fun to drive.

Tamiya Wild Dagger with Proboat Formula Fastech and trailer
The Wild Dagger was my second truck ever, another bulletproof truck and virtually indestructible. It's one I've kept around because of it's sentimental value but also because it won't quit running! The truck was custom painted by me to match the boat, which runs the stock brushless motor with an upgraded prop. Currently it runs in the 30MPH range. The trailer was custom built by me out of wood however was stolen from me by some movers when I moved a few years ago. Conveniently it was not on the inventory list so I couldn't even make a claim for it being "lost".

HobbyKing Genesis catamaran boat
This is my go fast boat running a Leopard motor with 180A speed control. It's current top speed is unknown at the moment since I've been to scare to give it full throttle, I'm estimating it in the 55-60MPH range. I need to reprogram the speed control so it doesn't self destruct on wide open throttle. I don't think I have any pics of this boat unfortunately.

Venom brushless Electric King of Shaves
Currently running stock motors on 3S, hitting about 35MPH

Axial SCX-10 Jeep Rubicon
This is the newest member of my fleet and is quickly becoming one of my favs. It's a very capable rock crawler and looks good doing it. It features a working winch, lights, King coilover shocks, Mickey Thompson wheels, Maxxis tires, and aftermarket bumpers.

And the best for last,

Tamiya Toyota Tundra Highlift with custom flat bed trailer
This Tundra is my favorite RC truck. So many great details in the body, chassis, 3 speed transmission, lockable axles, and leaf spring suspension. No it's not a insane rock crawler but more of a trail truck whose main duty is a tow rig for the trailer and Jeep. Tons of scale accessories on this truck but I'll highlight a few: working winch, full working headlights, tail lights, trailer lights, off road lights, King shocks, swivel leaf spring shackles, trailer hitch, Mickey Thompson Baja Claw tires, and scale hubs just to name a few. The trailer was custom built to my specifications for me by a member of another forum and cost me around $400. It was built out of solid steel rod to a scaled down representation of a real flat bed trailer. The deck is custom cut oak strips and the tires are from a Tamiya Sand Scorcher. The trailer features a removeable tire/tool rack, working tongue jack, working lights, working deck winch, faux weight distribution hitch, scale bolts, tool box with tie down chains and tensioners, scale accessories, and loading ramps just to name a few. This truck and trailer totes around just about every other RC I have (Elanor, F150, Jeep) and looks awesome doing it. On to the pics!

I have one, my wife. Every time I sign into F150 Online she comes and sits in front of me in my office. I've looked for the off switch as well as a return button but no luck so far. Any suggestions appreciated. She's a low mileage 1956 model made in Michigan, if that matters.

That is just awesome! The pics look amazing.

dont slow down...

You have a great collection there. I have always loved looking at the Tamiya vehicles because of their realism but have just never pulled the trigger on one. Now that I have my electric and Nitro rig pretty much where I want them I have thought about getting into something else. I really have been thinking about getting into the planes. It is appealing to me because you can get into it pretty cheap, compared to other things like helicopters & quads. After seeing your setup though I may have to pick up one of those Tamiya rigs and get to work Only thing is i know some of those things can cost a pretty penny.

Oh and Labnerd...

Usually when i am tired of one of my older R/C's I just throw it on Ebay or Craigslist. Someone will buy it eventually

Those are amazing! When I was a kid I had a Tamiya Frog so when they re-issued them I got a Tamiya Grasshopper for my son. Now after seeing these I have to go out and fire it up!

Never thought much about RC trucks and stuff. Look more like toys than anything....until I've looked at the Tamiya stuff. Jeez, you can throw a thousand dollars at it and not get the most expensive. The Jeep, trailer, and Tundra above must have left you with pocket change out of a grand. I can't believe the detail, the options, you can get just about as many custom parts for these little wonders as you can the real thing. I'm impressed although not game. I come home with another "collectable" anything and I'm going to have to build a another house. The wife ain't gonna have none of this. And I thought my 1st Gear stuff was neat.

Haha yes they get expensive really quick when you start throwing all the cool accessories at them! The Tundra has a cost tag currently of about $900, the trailer is at about $500, and the Jeep is only at about $400. Of course this was all acquired over the course of about 3 years and of course the more you run them the more you spend! I actually haven't driven any of them in about 6 months and they are about to go into storage mode since we will be moving next month. I don't think I'll ever get rid of them, they are one of a kind and I'd never be able to replace them exactly.
