Being that Polaris is based in the Twin Cites, I wonder if Lube Tech is actually somehow connected to them as a subsidiary of some kind? Or maybe some executives at Polaris actually own Lube Tech and funnel their private label oil business that way for a little pocket change.....???

Lube Tech is a sole ownership company with Chris Bame at the head. He and his wife bought the company from his dad back in the 90's. They employ 10 people in Golden Valley, Mn. They were part of an economic program in Northern Louisiana where they were funded 16 million dollars to rehab an old GM plant into a packaging and distribution center for their products. They expect to employ 75 people for that 16 million dollars of tax payer money. Sounds like a democrat but I find no association with him and Polaris other than a supplier.

Really doesn't matter. Spending $213,000.00 per one job created is a travesty and a major screwing to the folks that paid their hard earned money into the program. The amount of tax revenue from the created jobs will never pay back this money even considering the secondary jobs that might come along with this warehouse.
FWIW, I'm an independent and could care less about the party affiliation but this kinda crap is typical of democrats, not saying the republicans are yer best friend either.

That's what I was thinking -- if that plant stayed open for 75 years you MIGHT reach the break-even point on the initial incentive......

You all need to READ the article. I dont see where its saying the government handed them 16 million it says there is an INVESTMENT of 16 million into the plant! Louisiana is offering incentives for relocating there. This is the type of thing that leads to people thinking the government is doing things it really is not. This type of thing incentive drawing is extremely common in red states. I myself am a liberal democrat. I dont really see an issue a conservative should have with this draw by the government of Louisiana. From the article "SHREVEPORT – Today, Governor Bobby Jindal and Lube-Tech®. CEO Chris Bame announced a $16 million capital investment by the company in Louisiana"

How come I couldn't find that last month? I used to be an Amsoil dealer and looked all over the site for 20w40 motorcycle oil.
