Blast From the Past- F150Online

How many old timers do we have here? Let's go back in time:

How about 1997? First capture: July 2, 1997. My truck wasn't even built yet: https://web.archive.org/web/19970702...150online.com/

(Sidestep) here is an owners FUEL LOG from 1997. Look at this topoff bill- $25! https://web.archive.org/web/19970702...om/fuellog.htm

Feb 1998: https://web.archive.org/web/19980201...150online.com/

May 99: https://web.archive.org/web/19990503...150online.com/

2000: https://web.archive.org/web/20000510...150online.com/

July 2001: http://web.archive.org/web/200107071....com/index.cfm

June 2004: http://web.archive.org/web/200406302....com/index.cfm

We finally see the 11th gen in the top right in 2005: http://web.archive.org/web/200511060....com/index.cfm

As I remember it in 2007: http://web.archive.org/web/200707160....com/index.cfm

Makes me remember the good old days when this joint was really jumping! Nowadays, checking into this site is sometimes like wandering the halls of your old grade school building after it has sat empty for 20 years.....

I joined this site in Feb. '07 after a stay with Ford Truck World that was the first site I ever joined. Never was much a of computer user before that either. My first Ford F-150 was a '84 model and the PC's were just coming into vogue.

Really neat to take a look back. I remember the 2005 look. Reminds me of my old dial up days in high school.

Jbrew was just talking about the "old" color scheme being much better than the current website color spring

For me the best times were 2006-2009, this place was really hopin with some great posts and contributors.

Then after 2009 a lot of these trucks became more available and we started seeing a ton of young whipper snappers join..

You know how the rest goes..

Exactly! , the old color scheme was the best I've seen for just about any internet site that comes to mind. It was ingenuous.

If they would bring that back and off the now, it would get more attention....the right kind.

I haven't done this, but if you look at the statistics, I bet there's been a loose/a drop every year since the change.

It may sound a little dramatic, but looks do count. An attractive website goes along way IMO.

Lets fix it.

How does that website store the old site pages, including all the links and everything?

That's pretty cool to see it how it used to be.

This used to be a cool forum to hang out on, now I only occasionally stop in to read a few pages.

The fridge falling out of the back of James truck was a classic.

Been gone from here a WHILE, but fixing my truck back up to it's former glory now. It's not looking quite as nice as the sig pic now, but it will be back up soon. New front suspension and new engine to kick it off. Runs like the day I bought it. I did the 99-03 front end conversion around 04/05? About the same time it got two toned.,,,,BD
