If you built your own, it's a $1500 option, but out on the lots, they're priced pretty much the same as the 5.0s. Coy even paid less for his EB than an identical 5.0.

But $12k off is pretty good for a non-Texan haha.

You should be able to get it for about 12,000 of sticker plus tax, title, etc.

Nice truck that you are looking at.. Is it just me or $6,000 in taxes etc seem a little steep? All my TTL plus extra fees was less than half that.

If a dealer is actually going to charge the extra 1500 for just the Eb i would walk away right then.. Even though its a 1500 dollar option you should always be able to get the eb for the same as the 5.0 (and sometimes cheaper as in my case)

I looked at a 5.0 Blue Jeans Blue Xlt and it didnt have the information cluster in the center of the dash. had the basic radio at the top of the dash and didnt have the elocker. I told the salesman i wanted to drive a Eb and we walked over to my truck.. It had the Elocker,Instrument cluster, 4.3 inch Radio. I got my truck for 1000 less than the 5.0. Mine stickered for roughly 40,000 got 12k off and 13k for my trade in. After TTL i walked out paying exactly 17k for the Eb.

I thought the taxes were stupid high too, but I figured they were a lot more in his state? It IS New York. Glad it's not just me though.

I have never and would never pay the freight. That is an exaggerated figure. If they're dead set on you paying that amount, ask to see the freight bill.

Unless they were shipping it to me many miles away, I would not pay any freight. Never seen freight as an add on. Here in Texas, freight to get it to the dealer is already in the negotiated price. Every one of those charges seem inflated.

Personally I'd give that salesman/stealership directions where to go and what they could do with themselves when they get there. The freight charges are included in the sticker price, $500 for paperwork is criminal level highway robbery plus the other "fees" are just a scam those clowns are using to make a deal seem good. That reeks of a bait and switch scam to me. I'd offer $37,000 out the door and tell them I'm perfectly capable of going to the DMV and paying my taxes and getting my tags. If they refuse I'd walk out the door with one finger on each hand up.

Yeah, $499 is too high for a "doc" fee. $299 is more standard, methinks.

$250 for tags?? Come on... Seriously, how much is your annual tags registration there? Subtract that from the $250, and it's easy to see how much they're a-gappin' ye thar.

So, let's do the math. The freight charge is ludicrous, and that's $1195. (Convenient figure, by the way. Guarantee their freight carrier doesn't charge in nice, round numbers) The "doc" fee is about $200 too high. The tags figure is about $200 too high. Looks like they're raking in about $1600 in EXTRA profit on your "deal"...all of which is above and beyond the 3% dealer hold-back that they get from Ford anyway.

Thank you for all the help guys I do appreciate it

There is no reason that my local dealer can't get good prices. I do have three after all haha

I'd just like to know what the lowest I can pay for the vehicle is. Skip all the BS and buy

I bought a '14 Lariat SuperCrew Ecoboost last Wednesday after considering this exact question. I really like the Aluminum concept of the '15, and the benefits that go with it, but don't like the styling as much. So far, I couldn't be happier and I doubt that I'll regret the decision.

Oh, I also had 249,000 on my '98 4.6 at time of purchase, so that played a minor role too.

Ask to see the Invoice on the Vehicle, then work from there. Also deal with the Internet salesman, or fleet salesman.. They are usually more willing to give you a better deal.

Another twist....

For me, if I'm gonna get anything pre-2015 at this point, it's gonna have the 6.2. Two reasons. First, there won't be anymore. Secondly, it's a 6.2...duh!

Maybe catch a 2014 6.2 and watch it a while?

Doc fee was/is $295 at the dealer I worked at, freight is BS, but try $500 or so for tags on a new truck here in MS. I think it was still floating around $100 this year, and my truck is 6 years old.
