well right now my boots are shot, I stand and walk around on concrete for about 10 hours a day so I need something very comfy. I just bought some red wings with the dynafoce insole but so far Im not to impressed, Im gonna give them a lil while longer but if I return them I need some new ideas, so what do you guys recommend??

I wear Redwings, new ones suck, they take a long time to break in. But once you do they are great. I have tried the Die Hard boots and my feet start hurting now just thinking about them. The nice thing about Redwings is they are American made.

I have noticed over the years that if the boot has a flat sole instead of a stepped heal they are a lot more forgiving. Either way concrete is hard on your feet and back.

Good luck with your hunt.

You city boys are a riot! If the Redwings are not broke in yet here's how to do it in a few hours. Put on your normal work socks, put on the boots. Go outside and fill the boots with water.....yep, plain ol, outa the hose water. Walk around in them to squeeze the water out. Don't take them off til they are dry- they will fit like they were made for you. You can do this with any leather boot. Some folks put bread sacks over the socks to keep the feet dry. I usually just go to work around the ranch and never notice the water or when they are dry. By the time I come in they are usually dry....unless I've been fishing a dead hog out of a tank.

My Ariats are always comfortable right out the box But those aren't the same kind of boot and that's a really good idea.

Glad I wasn't the only one that jumps to thinking that.

That's the old cowboy trick for breaking in your cowboy boots.

I hadn't given it any thought for work boots.
