Fords newest EcoBoost

Might be a problem to start for some though.

That thing sounds like it's trying to stall or something - constantly. But it still sounds better than an EB . . .

I don't know what that is or is made of, but it's cool!

That has to be about the most unsafe vehicle I have ever seen. If you ever wanted to lose a limb or your life here is your new ride.

WE have those engines all over down here on ranches for oil wells, water wells, for generators for irrigation systems. You'd be surprised how most are incredibly easy to start. Nothing like what this guy goes thru. Just prime it, back the flywheel up til you feel compression and give it a spin. They usually hit the first time and slowly start building rpms. Sounds like a steam train slowly taking off. I'd love to find an old Schilling but those are rare. I've only seen one at Campbellton on a ranch. It stands about 8 foot tall with 2 6 foot flywheels. It runs a generator for the oil well there. It has seen zero repairs since it was put on the ranch back in the 30's. An amazing machine. Runs what seems like forever on a gallon of gas.

Gotten love old, super-built machines. Planned obsolescence is something those folks knew nothin about.

Darn Labnerd, When I clicked on this thread, I thought you were going to give us the "good" or the "bad" on a real EcoBoost.

I thought the same thing, handles sticking out spinning, belts without guards, etc.. It won't be long and we will be calling this guy "Stubby" or "Lucky"
