Tractive effort and rolling friction. People overthink this and it amuses me when they do. If you're strong enough, you can even pull a 767 with your hands (much bigger than the 727 pictured).

 

pull it up a 2 percent grade for a couple of miles and I'll be impressed..

 

If a Turdra can tow the space shuttle, a F-150 should be able to tow a C-5.

 

Aww, a cute little 727 is a toy plane though.

Pullin' jets is easy. Shovin' where it takes the weight of a U30 tug at 70k-112k lbs GVWR depending on the model.

Push back a freighted C-5 at 840,000lbs or C-17 at 585k with a pickup and then I'll be impressed.
