Phone suggestions?

So i realized i've had my current phone for 3.5 years now, and the battery is starting to show its age. Its a BB Torch 3G/4G (not 4GLTe)

I bought the BB Torch because its both touch screen but still has a slide out key board. But the screen is very small compared to today's phones.

anyways, not sure what exactly I'm looking for. Something reliable, pretty rugged, big screen but not stupid huge. I'm not super keen on 100% touch screen, but not sure i have a choice any more.

Only thing I know for sure, 100% that I will not be buying an iPhone

Thoughts?

Samsung Galaxy S4, put it in an Otterbox Defender case. Best Buy is doing them free with 2 year contract on Black Friday - actually 6pm Thanksgiving.

I like the Nokia Lumia series, they have a lot of great features and are priced to move. Plus the camera on them can not be beat in the phone world.

Probably the same reason I am - I won't own anything made by Apple.

I hate apple being tied to itunes. Its a horrible program and a system hog.

Thinking about maybe getting the S4"active" thoughts?

There's one gotcha with the S4 Active. If you put it in an Otterbox it will drive you nuts. The screen protector doesn't fully seat on the screen and you will be typing double and triple letters. I think the regular S4 in an Otterbox is more rugged than a naked Active.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note. I really like it, and it works excellent with SYNC. The Note 3 is supposed to be really great as well. One thing, though....it is a bigger phone but not as intrusive as you may think. I have had it over a year and it has been very dependable. I rarely use my computer at home as it has a huge screen and it is easy to navigate the Internet. It's an inch or two longer than the average wallet.

I have a Droid Razr Max and its pretty durable and it has the longest charge of any smart phone or did when I bought it. The one thing about Apple phone that should be a factor in your decision is they hold there value very well and can frequently be sold 2 years later for the price of the next upgrade. I once accidentally ran over my droid. Still worked with a broken screen.

I'm enjoying my iPhone 5s a whole lot better than that Android Attrix HD I used to have.....still using a HTC Incredible II for work though....

BTW....if you have unlimited data from yer carrier right now try keeping it....unless yer on Sprint....you'll have to buy a phone outright to keep the unlimited data though....

My wife has the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and she LOVES it. I have to say, it is pretty awesome. The screen resolution, camera and video cam are the best I've seen on a phone. Her iphone loving family has serious phone envy over the Note 2 and I expect many of them will switch next time they upgrade.

I guess the Note 3 is out now. Not sure what they've improved, but the Note 2 is a fine choice and my wife's has been 100% reliable. It is bigger than most phones, but still thin.

Get the Galaxy, either the S3 or S4.

Have had my Casio Gzone flip phone for two years now, zero problems, but the battery is down to only lasting 3 or 4 days before needing a charge. 4.99 for a new battery on amazon and on the way for 2 more years of use.
