I see one pic - the left side. That looks like a regular old F-100 to me - what does it say exactly on the fender badge? I think Labnerd has nailed it - you have a F-100 with an optional payload package.
I didn't think the 262 was available in the F100 platform, only the bigger trucks.
I think the '64 six was a 223 in the F100.
Would be interesting to find out for sure what motor is in the OP's truck.
If it is a heavy payload version of the F100 with a motor from the larger trucks, that would be cool.

The 262 was in fact available in the F-100 from 61 to 64.

It also sounds like it's definitely almost all from-factory-stock. I love honest, unmolested old vehicles. Sure, dropping a huge motor into a car/truck is cool, but it's only original once; they just have a different feel and aura about them that sticks ya right into the period it came from, kinda like a time capsule. Even if the motor ends up not being the one it originally came with, it's still close.
Anyone know how to verify whether it's the original motor and how to determine it's actual CID? Are there numbers on the motor & if so, where are they located? Any help appreciated!!
Yea you have to get casting number off the heads and serial off the block. I doubt the valve covers say anything, - unless they're after market.
I'm not sure where the serial tags are on that block. Just that they moved them around and they're probably not in the locations of the diagram below, -

I saw a reference that the 223 and 262 had different exhaust manifolds and the 262 has some additional strengthening ribs cast onto the block, but I would not know how to tell the difference.
The 262 also has a longer stroke. Not sure if you could easily measure the stroke by pulling a spark plug and manually turning over the motor.

There's a lot to like about the old 262. It does not have a timing chain as it uses timing gears instead. Some, but not all, of the 64 models will have the fuel pump under the side cover like shown in this pic:

The engine uses an 18mm spark plug which is the old large core plug. It also uses as factory, chrome moly rings for the compression set. The rods are of the "aircraft" type in that the rod caps are bolted into the rods. The old way was with a nut and bolt. Here's a pic of a 262 sitting in a truck. Might compare it to what ya have. While the 223 was a similar engine, parts will not interchange.

In addition, the VIN plate should show a B code engine as the 4th symbol in the VIN.
