They are nice, but I would much rather have a 4wd.

Same here, - two different animals. I can't picture a lightning running baja class. But, I would like to see them back in the lineup.

Wish Shelby was still with us! But I would like to see the Lightning return. Have the street truck for the followers that want it, along with the offroad monster

I know some people are really into the 4X4's. I feel that my current 2011 F150, 3.7 V6, 4X4 does a fine job in snow and mud. I owned an '04 F150 Lightning, and it was in a class of it's own. I'm a fan of the low slung, super fast, good handling, sport pick up truck. I know that most aren't, but a limited production gen 3 Lightning would be nice.

This Shelby Raptor is a cool looking truck, though it's not on the top of my list of vehicle that I'd like to own.

To each his own. It's good to have choices!

Unless gas gets down to 2 bucks a gallon and stays there, we're probably not gonna see another generation of Lightnings.

I'm sure a Lightning would get better gas mileage than a Raptor given the suspension/tire combo alone!

Yeah Idk why everyone says that. Ford built a gas hog. A 2wd street truck is more efficient. I still never understood why that's shot around. Ford couldn't keep a new lightning on the lots. There's a reason guys keep buying 5.0rcsb's

Would be easy to create a Lightning - throw the EB into a RCSB with 4.10's and tune it for horsepower instead of torque.

Wonder if that 575hp number is to the wheels or if they left a lot of power on the table. JDM tuned a 6.2L with a 2.9L Whipple to 650hp

By 2001, A lot of dealers were accepting Xplan prices for Lightnings. There were a lot of dealers having trouble moving them. That's when I bought mine, for Xplan price.
