I wish I had seen your post, I ended up buying a $200 canon. how is your nikon with videos? and thanks for answering all my questions

What model Canon did you buy? I have a D70, D300, and D3S. Only the D3S has video capability, but I never use it for video.

Thanks! I used a Nikon D300, and a 200mm f/2 VRII lens.
