What broke, the auger impeller? Some of those are keyed, you may be able to tack in place as well. If you don't want to take it all apart lol.

the rivet came off and it swung into the things frame. Its toast. Aint fixin it. Its only about 6 or 7 years old and I've had it apart 2 times fixin crap and it just isnt worth it. It a small craftsman and I thought it would be fine for the relatively small amount of snow I get here.. plastic case already coming apart.. Never should have wasted my money on it. I have a long driveway or I wouldnt even waste my time with one. I usually only need it once or twice a year. I've used it several times this year. Last year didnt need it at all. I'll find a real one next time but I'll get it used. if I'm going to work on one I want one that is at least worth my time fixing.

Yea, I try to stay away from anything plastic on a snow-thrower. Plastic and the cold doesn't mix very well.

That's getting harder to do, seems like they all use plastic somewhere. The worst in that is if they use a plastic chute. Those break pretty fast.

I've always used a shovel. Kind of prefer it. Nothing broke. Just a little sore.

Looks like someone was too "wussy" to get out of his truck in the snow and take some pictures.....

I've got a couple outdoorsy pics. Might not be that spectacular, but it looked pretty cool from where we were.

Here is some cool designs the wind made in the snow.

Here is the trail ahead of us. You may notice that there aren't any footprints yet. This was my first time snow shoeing and what I learned is that being the first one on the trail requires ALOT of effort!

We're on our way back in this one. It was a little easier because we had already walked up.

Yes sir, had snow shoes. Just bought them today. I'd never used them before. We've been doing a hike essentially every Sunday for several years now. We used to just slog through whatever snow was there in the winter. I see that snow shoes will make it easier to cover more ground, but when it's powdery and deep like it was today, it's still pretty tought keeping a good pace.

Seem as though they might be a bother, -if you sink and everything caves. Could end up stuck in place; a downer for sure.

Just a few thoughts

I bet you can cruise right along tho, - on that hard crusty type snow. May even be great for thin ice, considering weight distribution. If you fall through, -go go gadget flippers.
