Not sure why you would need red and blues off road unless you're harassing the rabbits and squirrels. In most states you don't even have to have them hooked up, just displayed and it's illegal unless you have written approval from a governing agency. Try court, you will loose.

Among other reasons, it's illegal to have red and blue because rapists have been known to use them to impersonate the police, so they can get their victims to pull over.

Not that hard to understand the logic behind banning them on a street driven vehicle.

Today is the 18th of Feb. and gas in So. Cal. is $4.50 a gal.! It's possible to find it as low as $4.20 but most is way higher. Course this state is run by a bunch of liberal wing nut politians who've never seen a tax they didn't instantly fall in love with, so why would gas be any different? They would run every refinery that's left out of the state if they could. Got the largest Idiot colony in the US occupying Sacramento. Argh!

Hmm - better research your state law before making this blanket statement.

The only reason I can even think to have a blue light off road is some of the desert racing circuits mandate to have a small one as a marker light on the back of the truck.

Other than that I agree with with blue and red lights belong on police and fire vehicles only.
