Prayers for my pops...

Pray for my Dad, he's in ER with what he says are heart palpitations and not a heart attack. Pray for my Mom because she dislikes hospitals and is an emotional basket case in these situations.

So far the word is no heart attack and high heart rate and BP is back to normal. Gave him 4 baby aspirin. Still running tests.

OK he and mom are going home now. Crisis averted! BP went down by itself w/o meds and no heart attack. Follow up with personal physician.

Thanks for the prayers.

I'm still prayin for him, Stealth. My Dad had a scare like that about 10 years ago and had to have balloons and stints done. Best wishes.

Yeah they don't know what caused the palpitations and all tests came up clear. We will see.

I know he isn't getting any younger (68) and I'm happy he and mom went in, even though he thinks he went in for nothing due to the outcome.

Thanks for the prayers!

You've got that right!

He's already dodged a couple of bullets when you add in yesterday's scare. He almost had a stroke a few years ago, had his carotid artery 99% blocked, slow plaque buildup over much time, couldn't even tell it was happening until the very end, but they caught it in time and cleaned him out with surgery. He had all but bought the farm before the doc came in with his diagnosis and said he could fix him up with surgery. Dad said they roto rooted him out but the surgery is much more than that. Has a nice scar on his neck.

Anyway he's still kicking, and stubbornly says yesterday was a waste of time since he's fine!
