Weight gain pills

Hey guys. Has anyone had success by taking "weight gain pills" to gain weight? Im looking to gain back 20 lbs that I lost due to a serious illness, but im super lactose intolerant and most weight gainers contain whey and I cant stomach it.

Im trying to eat more and more calories during the day, but its tough to pack on weight by just eating normal meals. In the past whey protein was good as a weight gainer for me, but my lactose intolerance wont allow me to use it like I said. So ive thought about simple weight gain pills. No idea how they work, but has anyone used and had success with them?

If not pills, does anyone have a way to gain weight with no diary and limited gluten?

I've been tryin' to gain weight my entire life. I used to see a dietitian once a month to go over my calorie intake, but I got tired of eating as much as she wanted me too and no changes for over two years. Never heard of weight gainer pills though. Can't imagine it would be a good idea.

And if one of you fat ***** say, "I got some weight I'll give you..." I'll punch a baby.

I've got some weight I'll give you. Kinda feel sorry that you are going to punch a baby now. really though I miss being skinny. I know you're not sayin you wanna be obese though I would even like to beef up a little. How old are you? If your younger your metabolism is probably really high but it will drop as you get older and you'll probably naturally beef up if you work out

I have never been lucky enough to have this problem but a buddy of mine did. He was always trying to put on some bulk when we were working out and he found that Creotine worked. That and hitting the gym 4 or 5 days a week.

I have found that age is great for putting on pounds too. My metabolism all but stopped at 40 and it has been a constant battle to not be as big as a house since then.

I'll be 23 in a few weeks, so my metabolism is still high. I've always been skinny. Im 5'7 and I was up to 152 6 months ago from working out everyday and eating a lot, but I got super ill and I lost 20-25 lbs. it sucks. I'm trying to eat more. But I don't do any dairy and I limit my gluten intake. I'm going to go check out trader joes and pick up some gluten free oatmeal, bananas, and peanut butter and have A big bowl of that between meals to try and pack on some more weight. Its amazing how some people can eat and eat and not gain anything, while others struggle with being over weight. I've never been overweight in my life, always underweight. I Almost wanna be fat for a day to feel like what it's like haha

Eat lots of fatty/junk foods and drink lots of Mt. Dew. The Mt. Dew alone was enough to cause most of my weight gain.

When I first was tracking what I ate, the dietitian was like I would die of a heart attack from all the salt, fat, beer, and soda. More balanced out now, but still six foot 120lbs.

I tried all that weight gainer stuff in hs and never could gain anything. In college I was at my heaviest 6'1" 215lbs and now I'm at 195lbs. I found out that eating chicken pot pies were the answer and sitting on my *** not doing a damn thing. Idk how that is about being gluten free, I highly doubt it is....but maybe something along those lines can help you.

Reminds me of the old South Park episode where Cartman was looking to "beef up"... Kept yelling "Beef Cake".. I have an old recording of it and just listened to it again and LMFAO!!

I know this post will do nothing for your situation and I know there are folks out there that need to gain weight just as much as there are folks that need to lose weight..

I had to renew my drivers license and when I did it, I had to up my 'weight' value...

I used to be able to eat anything and everything and not gain weight... Turned 40 and it all goes to the gut! Okay, my intake of beer probably has something to do with it! ha, ha!

Just about to turn 49 next month.... Ugh... 6'3" and 230lbs.. When I was in HS, I was 6'3" and was 195lbs and could 'jog' a 6 minute mile and not breath hard... Guess that's the difference between being 17 and 49!!

Anyway, I'd love to have a Big Mac right now, just thinking about all of this.. I'm already consuming mass quantities of beer!

Good luck!

Mitch

Have you looked into egg protein. I don't recall if they use any whey, but I used it a long time a go and it worked rather well. The big draw back was it as expensive. I did a quick search and it seems the price has come down a bit since I was using it and 100% egg protein (no whey) is available.

This stuff worked for me and it isn't thick but a clear liquid.

Wild Berry is my fave...................

I drank two a day for about 2 months and gained back the 15lbs I lost while sick.

Also, while hospitalized for 8 days, this is the only thang I could keep down.

Whatever you choose to try, I'd highly recommend that you clear it with your doctor first.
