Well if we got technical, the water was only about 1.5-2 feet. A couple of inches below my knees. I couldn't see any wave action, but I'm just exploring all possibilities before they spend $10K on a new engine. Thanks Dave

Granted, the only similarity between yer 6.0 and my 6.2L is they both have 8 holes and burn diesel, but it had no problem pushing any water out the exhaust once a Deuce pulled me out of this mess.

When I sucked water in I was only at idle, so it just died without breaking anything. Unscrewed the glowplugs, shopvac'ed out the intake, and cranked it 'till only fuel was sprayin' out the glowplug holes. The starter made it about another week 'till it would only go click, but it was an autozone unit with a lifetime warranty.

I'm hoping this one only needs a shop-vac'ing. Our station manager is a diesel specialist, so he is going to see if the Chief will flat bed it to his shop where he will pull a few things off.

Thanks for the ideas/words, guys

Update. We got the truck back from Ford. It turned out to be an electrical problem. The filter was dry, not a drop of water in the truck.
