Video has been around for a while. I think this attitude spans many generations. We just get to witness the stupidity more these days cuz of the interweb.

The sad thing these days is people like this will probably get recruited by some reality show or something and benefit from being a piece of horse excrement.

My favorite line in that video: "They charged me with all the charges I just got"

Every kid should know the fear of the sound of leather zipping out of belt loops...I mouthed off once, never again. Course now some passer-by would call DSS and you'd wind up in jail. Had a teacher in public school too that would get you on the knuckles with a ruler if you were goofing off in class. Most kids don't know how to work for what they get either, I was working legally at 14 with a permit, saving my money for a truck, before that I was mowing lawns, raking leaves and shoveling snow....alright I'm done.

All you have to do to understand what is wrong with the kids is look at their parents.

Everyone thinks their kid is an angel until they eat someones face off. And sometimes even thats not enough to convince them otherwise.

I think we have it a lot easier these days with technology and everything else so it blurs our perception of how hard life can be. We take for granted how easy we got it and expect it to be easy because that's what our lives have always been like. I read somewhere that we live lives of kings compared to old times because of oil and technology; we each have the equivalent of ten slaves. Really interesting perspective I thought.

The older generation has from the dawn of time said the youngers are oh so bad..
The current generation of young people have my sympathy. The things they have to deal with, social media rapid communication and all I could not imagine. I am so thankful that when I was a young trouble maker there was no internet no cameras every where. No Mug shots showing up on Face Book thee day after a wild night and all. I'm glad they seem not to have gone back far enough that my very old mug shot can be found..

Shame on the courts! These poor girls have charges to pay for and they didn't get to keep the money! You've got to be kidding me!
I've had all sorts of special training on managing gen Y, their sense of entitlement and so on, it's crazy. Mom mom still works at the elementary I went to and some of the stuff I hear from her is unbelievable and sad. As a new parent, I pray that I'm doing things right so my daughters have values, understand right from wrong, understand accountability, and end up responsible citizens. I was at an eighth grade graduation last night, looking at parents and kids who not only didn't dress up, but wore dresses that girls in their 20's and up shouldn't feel decent in, boys with hockey jerseys and face/hair paint and on and on. I sat there and thought how future politicians, leaders, general members of society sat before me and I was honestly scared. I somehow have the values of my grandparents generation, as at as ethics, respect and hard work are concerned. I'm afraid I don't see much of the same out there day to day.

I'm so glad I'm not a kid in this day and age and I'm so glad I don't have any kids in this day and age!

I got away with a lot of stuff in my day, but that was 30 some odd years ago (HS grad 1981)... My parents spoiled my sister and I compared to how they were brought up... But, they always impressed on us that RESPECT is a value you need to have to get thru life..

Anyway, I fear the future because I see this attitude from young folks all the time and it's only a matter of time before we find ourselves in a world that this kind of attitude will the be norm and there won't be a damn thing we can do about it...
