i just found this snake outside my door, does anyone know what kind it is? i thought it was a garden snake, but i think those are green.
im not from michigan so im not sure what snakes are native up here.

Looks like what we call a Chicken or Rat snake down here in Texas.

Hahaha!! Yeah, I noticed that. I believe they just get that grayish color during certain stages of molting. Notice the one pictured in the link is grayish as well.

Snakes are interestin' critters!

 

Ya know, I was thinking Garter at first, but the shape of the head of the one in question doesn't look as slender and rounded like the Garter's head is.

Although, the pic of the second one in that link is very close!

Tough call. I'd like to see him in person! We'd have Church!
