Get a "new" 69 Mustang

Just supply this company a 2005 or newer Mustang and they will convert into a 69. It does look good.

I think it would look better if the proportions were right on the car. Other than the Cobra's, I'm not a huge fan of "kit cars" like this -- guess I saw too many cheesey old guys in the '70's who tried to make a Volkswagen look like a Rolls Royce.....

Can't say I like it either. For that extra $40,000.00 I'd rather find an old Mustang and customize it. Well, probably not a Mustang. Other vehicles would be higher on the list.

I remember seeing lot's of Beetles with those funky hoods on them. Did you ever see the station wagon hatch replacements for a 'Vette?

Proportions just aren't right. For 40000 I would want more than a bunch of fiberglass. The regular 69 doesn't look aquite as bad.

Thanks!

Yea, something don't look right. Body lines maybe? Can't put my finger on it exactly lol. Maybe it's the entire car. I'd have to compare with an original.

Yeah, the '69 Shelby KR was not an attractive car to begin with, IMO, so the modern one is also unappealing to me.

The gallery link with the Boss 302 lookalikes shows they are much better than the KR replica. Just like the Boss 302 was better looking than the '69 KR by a country mile.

I know a guy who has a 69 shelby that needs restored. They were actually built by ford the 69-70's mass produced.. I read Shelby didnt like what Ford was doing with them and that's what lead to the falling out. They were pretty different from the production 69-70's Mustangs actually more like the 71-73 mustangs. Front end parts off my car will work on the last Shelbys..
