Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys has died, after fighting a battle against cancer for three years. He was 47.

Think I'm gonna fire up License to Ill tonight, in his memory.

 

I plan to add the boys to pandora on the way home. Very sad.

 

I was sad to hear this, too. One of my favorite groups growing up, and MCA was my favorite!

What a loss. One of my favorite groups ever. While my musical tastes have changed over the years the Beastie Boys has always endured as a group I could listen to over and over again. I really liked those early albums when they had that punk sound. Pollywog stew i believe. Egg raid on mojo and cookie puss. Pauls Boutique was probably my favorite album.
