Unlike other forums, there is no warning about replying to a thread that is beyond nnn days old.
Also no site rule against it here.
So those who complain about an old, on topic thread, being used as the basis of a new symptom / problem need to keep their opinion to themselves.

Fair game in my book, don't care if the thread is 5 years old, if it pertains to the question at hand it is a valid drag up. Just had another thread this AM, new member thanking for having 3+ year old info on the site.

- This is excluding the dredging up the 2 year old thread about why there are Chevy ads on a Ford site. That is an example of an opinion that needs not to be vocalized, regardless if it is 2 days old or 2 years old. Pull up your big boy pants and deal with the chevy ads.

Else, if replying to a thread that is of the same topic ( and having used the suggestions without a solution ) is considered wrong, what is the point of keeping threads ?

Guess the site should be converted back to a mail list if using old threads is wrong.

I will post search, but provide the term to search for, if it pertains to the issue at hand.
Telling someone to blindly search for his topic ( with no hint of a keyword(s) ) is about as useful as complaining about a chevy ad.
Want a bunch of posts like that, go to the 2nd place Ford site, that site seems to revel in those types of posts in threads.
