Trade?

I've got a 98 F150 single cab 4.6 2wheel with 73k. I'm having a baby in July and this 2 seater just aint gonna cut it, I've been looking around here and cant find anything good enough or that is worth trading. I need at least an extended cab with like mileage etc...Anyone at least have any thoughts or suggestions.... I've already pretty much set myself on buying a bench seat to switch out these two captains buckets and console for a split or solid bench seat to accommodate the baby and wife with me. Everything is appreciated....and of course the trade would need to be someone in FL or willing to meet in FL.

You're going to have a tough time finding somebody who wants to go from an extended cab to a regular cab. Also, car seats are a very tight fit in extended cab trucks. Might need to go newer and get a super crew. You're going to have an even tougher time finding a similar year truck with such low mileage.

I think you're chasing a "pipe dream" if you think you're going to be able to trade your way into a roomier vehicle unless you find some guy that has a car and is looking to get into a truck for some reason or another. Even then, the odds of finding a willing partner in your area are going to be extremely low. My suggestion would be to embrace reality, sell your vehicle outright and use the proceeds to get yourself into a larger ride.....

All you need is 40/60 split or a straight bench.
I've got the same truck with 40/60 and I had two kids when I ordered it new.

My wife's vehicle was the family car.
I even had a Toyota pickup (3 pass bench) when one of mine was in a carseat.
The carseat would not fit in the middle seat.
As long as this isn't your only vehicle it will work fine.

Nice truck, by the way.

(In my '99 I can turn off the passenger airbag with a key, hope this is true in '98)

Is that truck paid off? If so just keep it and find yourself an older Mercury Grand Marquis or Lincoln Town Car for hauling the newborn around.

yep truck is paid for. This is our only vehicle, my wife doesnt drive as she is scared..lol I know but I still love her. Weve gotten by for now with only me driving, but she has promised to drive soon. Not sure that I can really afford another car, and Im for sure not gonna get rid of my nice truck for some piece of crap. Only Fords will do for this family. Looks like the bench seat will be the route I take!

My mother didnt start driving until she was almost 50 same deal fear. She got over it though. I'd buy a small car one with an automatic and hopefully for you your wife will put the fear behind her otherwise its going to be tough on you.. You'll have to do all the driving.. Dr appointments kid gets older school and what not. I went through that with my parents. We could only do things when the old man was off work.

My driver seat has a cigarette burn from previous owner and console will have drilled wholes where my cb is, would that be ok, and we live far from each other and would cost a bit to ship....not sure how much. let me know via pm.
